quia in ipso conplacuit omnem plenitudinem habitare
For it pleased the Father that in him should all fullness dwell;
For it pleased the Father that in him should all fullness dwell;
For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;
For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;
For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell,
For it pleased the Father that in Him should all fullness dwell,
For it was the good pleasure of the Father that in him should all the fulness dwell;
For in him All Fullness is pleased to dwell,
for in him all the fulness of the Godhead was pleased to dwell,
Because in him, it hath well pleased the Father, that all fullness should dwell;
For it was the good pleasure of the Father that in him should all the fulness dwell;
For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell,
God was pleased to have all of himself live in Christ.
For God was pleased to have all His fullness dwell in Him,
For God was pleased to have all of his divine essence inhabit him.
For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in the Son
For it was the Father's good pleasure for all the fullness to dwell in Him,
For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him,
For God in all his fullness was pleased to live in Christ,
For it pleased the Father that in him should all fullness dwell;
For it was the Father's gracious will that the whole of the divine perfections should dwell in Him.
For all the fullness was pleased to dwell in him;
God chose to put his nature in Christ completely.
because in him it did please all the fulness to tabernacle,
God the Father was pleased to have everything made perfect by Christ, His Son.
For in Him was all fullness pleased to dwell.
God was pleased that all His fullness should forever dwell in the Son
for God wanted all of himself to be in his Son.
For in him it pleased God to make all fullness dwell,
For in Him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell,
For it pleased the Father that in him should all fullness dwell
For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him,
For it has pleased [the Father] that all the divine fullness (the sum total of the divine perfection, powers, and attributes) should dwell in Him permanently.
God was pleased for all of himself to live in Christ.
We look at this Son and see the God who cannot be seen. We look at this Son and see God’s original purpose in everything created. For everything, absolutely everything, above and below, visible and invisible, rank after rank after rank of angels—everything got started in him and finds its purpose in him. He was there before any of it came into existence and holds it all together right up to this moment. And when it comes to the church, he organizes and holds it together, like a head does a body. He was supreme in the beginning and—leading the resurrection parade—he is supreme in the end. From beginning to end he’s there, towering far above everything, everyone. So spacious is he, so expansive, that everything of God finds its proper place in him without crowding. Not only that, but all the broken and dislocated pieces of the universe—people and things, animals and atoms—get properly fixed and fit together in vibrant harmonies, all because of his death, his blood that poured down from the cross.
For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him,
For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him,
For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell,
For it pleased the Father that in him all fullness should dwell,
For it was by God's own decision that the Son has in himself the full nature of God.
For in him it pleased all plenty to inhabit,
For in him all the Fullness was glad to dwell
God himself was pleased to live fully in his Son.
For in him all the fulness of God was pleased to dwell,
Now Christ is the visible expression of the invisible God. He existed before creation began, for it was through him that every thing was made, whether spiritual or material, seen or unseen. Through him, and for him, also, were created power and dominion, ownership and authority. In fact, every single thing was created through, and for him. He is both the first principle and the upholding principle of the whole scheme of creation. And now he is the head of the body which is composed of all Christian people. Life from nothing began through him, and life from the dead began through him, and he is, therefore, justly called the Lord of all. It was in him that the full nature of God chose to live, and through him God planned to reconcile in his own person, as it were, everything on earth and everything in Heaven by virtue of the sacrifice of the cross.
For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell,
For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell,
Because all the fullness of God was pleased to live in him,
For it pleased the Father for all the fullness [of deity—the sum total of His essence, all His perfection, powers, and attributes] to dwell [permanently] in Him (the Son),
For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell,
For in him all the fullness was pleased to dwell,
For it was the Father’s good pleasure for all the fullness to dwell in Him,
God was pleased for all ·of himself [that he is; L of his fullness] to live in ·Christ [or the Son; L him].
For God was pleased to have all His fullness dwell in Him
For in him all the fulness of God was pleased to dwell,
God was pleased to have his whole nature living in Christ.
For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;
For it pleased God to have his full being live in his Son
God wanted Christ to have everything in himself.
For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell,
Because Hashem was pleased that all His fullness have its mishkan (tabernacle) in Moshiach,
God was pleased to have all of himself live in Christ.
For it pleased the Father that in Him all fullness should dwell,
God was pleased for all of himself to live in the Son.
God was pleased for all of himself to live in Christ.
because he was well pleased for all the fullness to dwell in him,
For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him,
because the Father was well-pleased that all the fullness should dwell in Him
