I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation by which ye are called,
I, then, the prisoner for the Master's sake, entreat you to live and act as becomes those who have received the call that you have received--
I therefore, the prisoner in the Lord, beg you to walk worthily of the calling with which you were called,
Because I serve the Lord, I am here in prison. I really want you to live as God's own people should live. God has called you to come to him. He has chosen you to be his own people.
Call upon you, then, do I -- the prisoner of the Lord -- to walk worthily of the calling with which ye were called,
I am being held in prison because of working for the Lord. I ask you from my heart to live and work the way the Lord expected you to live and work.

As a prisoner of the Lord, I urge you: Live a life that is worthy of the calling He has graciously extended to you.

I am in prison because I belong to the Lord. Therefore I urge you who have been chosen by God to live up to the life to which God called you.
In light of all this, here’s what I want you to do. While I’m locked up here, a prisoner for the Master, I want you to get out there and walk—better yet, run!—on the road God called you to travel. I don’t want any of you sitting around on your hands. I don’t want anyone strolling off, down some path that goes nowhere. And mark that you do this with humility and discipline—not in fits and starts, but steadily, pouring yourselves out for each other in acts of love, alert at noticing differences and quick at mending fences.
As a prisoner in the Lord, therefore, I urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called.
I therefore, the prisoner in the Lord, exhort you to lead a life worthy of the calling with which you were called,

Therefore I bound for the Lord beseech you, that ye walk worthily in the calling, in which ye be called,
So, then, this is my appeal to you—yes, it’s me, the prisoner in the Lord! You must live up to the calling you received.

As God’s prisoner, then, I beg you to live lives worthy of your high calling. Accept life with humility and patience, making allowances for each other because you love each other. Make it your aim to be at one in the Spirit, and you will inevitably be at peace with one another. You all belong to one body, of which there is one Spirit, just as you all experienced one calling to one hope. There is one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God, one Father of us all, who is the one over all, the one working through all and the one living in all.
