sed tunc quidem ignorantes Deum his qui natura non sunt dii serviebatis
However, then, when you knew not God, you did service to them which by nature are no gods.
But then, when you knew not God, you did service unto them which by nature are no gods.
Howbeit then, when ye knew not God, ye did service unto them which by nature are no gods.
Howbeit then, when ye knew not God, ye did service unto them which by nature are no gods.
But then, indeed, when you did not know God, you served those which by nature are not gods.
However that be, then when ye knew not God, ye did service unto those which by nature are not gods.
Howbeit at that time, not knowing God, ye were in bondage to them that by nature are no gods:
For then when you had not known God, you served those which by their nature were not gods.
But then indeed, not knowing God, ye were in bondage to those who by nature are not gods;
But then indeed, not knowing God, you served them, who, by nature, are not gods.
Howbeit at that time, not knowing God, ye were in bondage to them which by nature are no gods:
Formerly, when you did not know God, you were enslaved to those that by nature are not gods.
When you didn't know God, you were slaves to things which are really not gods at all.
But in the past, when you didn't know God, you were enslaved to things that by nature are not gods.
However, in the past, when you did not know God, you were slaves to things that are not really gods at all.
Formerly when you did not know God, you were enslaved to beings that by nature are not gods at all.
However at that time, when you did not know God, you were slaves to those which by nature are no gods.
Formerly, when you did not know God, you were slaves to those who by nature are not gods.
Before you Gentiles knew God, you were slaves to so-called gods that do not even exist.
However then, when ye knew not God, ye did service to them which by nature are no gods.
But at one time, you Gentiles, having no knowledge of God, were slaves to gods which in reality do not exist.
However at that time, not knowing God, you were in bondage to those who by nature are not gods.
Before, when you did not know God, you served false gods. They were not gods at all, but you were their slaves.
But then, indeed, not having known God, ye were in servitude to those not by nature gods,
During the time when you did not know God, you worshiped false gods.
But even then, when you did not know God, you were enslaved by those who, by nature, are not gods.
During the time before you knew God, you were slaves to powers that are not gods at all.
Before you Gentiles knew God you were slaves to so-called gods that did not even exist.
Previously, when you did not know God, you were slaves to forces who were not really gods at all.
However at that time, when you did not know God, you were slaves to those which by nature are no gods.
However then, when ye did not know God, ye did service unto those who by nature are not gods.
But in the past, since you didn’t know God, you were enslaved to things that by nature are not gods.
But at that previous time, when you had not come to be acquainted with and understand and know the true God, you [Gentiles] were in bondage to gods who by their very nature could not be gods at all [gods that really did not exist].
In the past you did not know God. You were slaves to gods that were not real.
Earlier, before you knew God personally, you were enslaved to so-called gods that had nothing of the divine about them. But now that you know the real God—or rather since God knows you—how can you possibly subject yourselves again to those tin gods? For that is exactly what you do when you are intimidated into scrupulously observing all the traditions, taboos, and superstitions associated with special days and seasons and years. I am afraid that all my hard work among you has gone up in a puff of smoke!
Formerly, when you did not know God, you were slaves to those who by nature are not gods.
Formerly, when you did not know God, you were enslaved to those who by nature are not gods.
Formerly, when you did not know God, you were enslaved to beings that by nature are not gods.
Notwithstanding, when you did not know God, you served them which by nature are no gods.
In the past you did not know God, and so you were slaves of beings who are not gods.
But then ye not knowing God [But then soothly ye unknowing God], served to them that in kind were not gods.
However, at that stage you didn’t know God, and so you were enslaved to beings that, in their proper nature, are not gods.
Before you knew God, you were slaves of gods that are not real.
Formerly, when you did not know God, you were in bondage to beings that by nature are no gods;
At one time when you had no knowledge of God, you were under the authority of gods who had no real existence. But now that you have come to know God, or rather are known by him, how can you revert to dead and sterile principles and consent to be under their power all over again? Your religion is beginning to be a matter of observing certain days or months or seasons or years. Frankly, you stagger me, you make me wonder if all my efforts over you have been wasted!
Formerly, when you did not know God, you were enslaved to beings that by nature are not gods.
Formerly, when you did not know God, you were enslaved to beings that by nature are not gods.
At the time, when you didn’t know God, you were enslaved by things that aren’t gods by nature.
But at that time, when you did not know [the true] God and were unacquainted with Him, you [Gentiles] were slaves to those [pagan] things which by [their very] nature were not and could not be gods at all.
Formerly, when you did not know God, you were enslaved to those that by nature are not gods.
At a time when you did not know God, you became slaves to things that by nature are not gods;
However at that time, when you did not know God, you were slaves to those which by nature are not gods.
In the past you did not know God. You were slaves to gods that were not real.
But at that time, when you did not know God, you served those who by nature are not gods at all.

At one time you didn’t know God. You were slaves to gods that are really not gods at all.
Howbeit then, when ye knew not God, ye did service unto them which by nature are no gods.
In the past, when you did not know God, you served as slaves beings which in reality are non-gods.
At first, you did not know God. At that time you obeyed things which are not real gods.
Formerly, when you did not know God, you were enslaved to beings that by nature are not gods.
But, formerly, when you did not have da’as (knowledge) of Hashem, you were avadim serving that which is by nature not HaEl Ha’Amiti (the true G-d).
When you didn’t know God, you were slaves to things which are really not gods at all.
Previously, when you did not know God, you served those who by nature are not gods.
In the past you did not know God. You were slaves to gods that were not real.

But at that time not knowing God, you were-slaves to the ones by nature not being gods.
