et ut ita dictum sit per Abraham et Levi qui decimas accipit decimatus est
And as I may so say, Levi also, who receives tithes, paid tithes in Abraham.
And as I may so say, Levi also, who receives tithes, paid tithes in Abraham.
And as I may so say, Levi also, who receives tithes, paid tithes in Abraham.
And as I may so say, Levi also, who receives tithes, paid tithes in Abraham.

Even Levi, who receives tithes, paid tithes through Abraham, so to speak,
And, as I may so say, Levi also, who receiveth tithes, paid tithes through Abraham,
And, so to say, through Abraham even Levi, who receiveth tithes, hath paid tithes;
And, so to say, through Abraham even Levi, who receiveth tithes, hath paid tithes;
And as a man, let us say about him that by Abraham, Levi, who receives tithes, was caused to tithe.
And as a man, let us say about him that by Abraham, Levi, who receives tithes, was caused to tithe.
and, so to speak, through Abraham, Levi also, who received tithes, has been made to pay tithes.
and, so to speak, through Abraham, Levi also, who received tithes, has been made to pay tithes.
And (as it may be said) even Levi who received tithes, paid tithes in Abraham:
And (as it may be said) even Levi who received tithes, paid tithes in Abraham:
And, so to say, through Abraham even Levi, who receiveth tithes, hath paid tithes;
And, so to say, through Abraham even Levi, who receiveth tithes, hath paid tithes;
One might even say that Levi himself, who receives tithes, paid tithes through Abraham,
One might even say that Levi himself, who receives tithes, paid tithes through Abraham,
We could even say that when Abraham gave Melchizedek a tenth of everything, Levi was giving a tenth of everything. Levi gave, although later his descendants would receive a tenth of everything.
We could even say that when Abraham gave Melchizedek a tenth of everything, Levi was giving a tenth of everything. Levi gave, although later his descendants would receive a tenth of everything.
And in a sense Levi himself, who receives tenths, has paid tenths through Abraham,
And in a sense Levi himself, who receives tenths, has paid tenths through Abraham,
One might even say that Levi, who collects the tenth, paid the tenth through Abraham,
One might even say that Levi, who collects the tenth, paid the tenth through Abraham,
And it could be said that Levi himself, who receives tithes, paid a tithe through Abraham.
And it could be said that Levi himself, who receives tithes, paid a tithe through Abraham.
And, so to speak, through Abraham even Levi, who received tithes, paid tithes,
And, so to speak, through Abraham even Levi, who received tithes, paid tithes,
One might even say that Levi, who collects the tenth, paid the tenth through Abraham,
One might even say that Levi, who collects the tenth, paid the tenth through Abraham,
In addition, we might even say that these Levites--the ones who collect the tithe--paid a tithe to Melchizedek when their ancestor Abraham paid a tithe to him.
In addition, we might even say that these Levites--the ones who collect the tithe--paid a tithe to Melchizedek when their ancestor Abraham paid a tithe to him.
And as I may say, Levi also, who receiveth tithes, payed tithes in Abraham.
And as I may say, Levi also, who receiveth tithes, payed tithes in Abraham.
And Levi too--if I may so speak--pays tithes through Abraham:
And Levi too--if I may so speak--pays tithes through Abraham:
We can say that through Abraham even Levi, who receives tithes, has paid tithes,
We can say that through Abraham even Levi, who receives tithes, has paid tithes,
The Levite priests receive their gifts from the people. But we could say that Levi himself gave a tenth part of what he had to Melchizedek. When Abraham gave his tenth part to Melchizedek, it was like Levi was there inside him. At that time, Levi was not yet born, but Abraham was his ancestor.
and so to speak, through Abraham even Levi who is receiving tithes, hath paid tithes,
We might say that Levi, who receives one-tenth part, paid one-tenth part through Abraham.
And truth be told, Levi (who receives tithes) also paid tithes to Abraham.
I guess you could even say that Levi, who receives our tithes, originally paid tithes through Abraham
(d) One might even say that Levi himself (the ancestor of all Jewish priests, of all who receive tithes), paid tithes to Melchizedek through Abraham.
One could even say that Levi himself, who receives tithes, actually paid tithes through Abraham,
And, so to speak, through Abraham even Levi, who received tithes, paid tithes,
And as I may so say, Levi also, who received tithes, paid tithes in Abraham.
And in a sense Levi himself, who receives a tenth, has paid a tenth through Abraham,
A person might even say that Levi [the father of the priestly tribe] himself, who received tithes (the tenth), paid tithes through Abraham,
We might even say that Levi, who receives a tenth, also paid it when Abraham paid Melchizedek a tenth.
Or look at it this way: We pay our tithes to priests who die, but Abraham paid tithes to a priest who, the Scripture says, “lives.” Ultimately you could even say that since Levi descended from Abraham, who paid tithes to Melchizedek, when we pay tithes to the priestly tribe of Levi they end up with Melchizedek.
And, through Abraham, even Levi, who collects the tenth, has paid a tenth, so to speak,
And it could be said that Levi himself, who receives tithes, paid tithes through Abraham, ·
One might even say that Levi himself, who receives tithes, paid tithes through Abraham,
And to say the truth, Levi himself also, who receives tithes, paid tithes in Abraham.
And, so to speak, when Abraham paid the tenth, Levi (whose descendants collect the tenth) also paid it.
And that it be said so [And that it is so said], by Abraham also Levi, that took tithes, was tithed;
And, if I can put it like this, even Levi paid tithes through Abraham—Levi, the one who receives tithes!
Levi's descendants are now the ones who receive a tenth from people. We could even say that when Abraham gave Melchizedek a tenth, Levi also gave him a tenth.
One might even say that Levi himself, who receives tithes, paid tithes through Abraham,
Now notice the greatness of this man. Even Abraham the patriarch pays him a tribute of a tenth part of the spoils. Further, we know that, according to the Law, the descendants of Levi who accept the office of priest have the right to demand a “tenth” from the people, that is from their brothers, despite the fact that the latter are descendants of Abraham. But here we have one who is quite independent of Levitic ancestry taking a “tenth” from Abraham, and giving a blessing to Abraham, the holder of God’s promises! And no one can deny that the receiver of a blessing is inferior to the one who gives it. Again, in the one case it is mortal men who receive the “tenths”, and in the other is one who, we are assured, is alive. One might say that even Levi, the proper receiver of “tenths”, has paid his tenth to this man, for in a sense he already existed in the body of his father Abraham when Melchizedek met him.
One might even say that Levi himself, who receives tithes, paid tithes through Abraham,
One might even say that Levi himself, who receives tithes, paid tithes through Abraham,
It could be said that Levi, who received a tenth, paid a tenth through Abraham
A person might even say that Levi [the father of the priestly tribe] himself, who received tithes, paid tithes through Abraham [the father of all Israel and of all who believe],
One might even say that Levi himself, who receives tithes, paid tithes through Abraham,
One might even say that Levi himself, who receives tithes, was tithed through Abraham,
And, so to speak, through Abraham even Levi, who received tithes, has paid tithes,
We might even say that Levi, who receives a ·tenth [tithe], also paid it when Abraham paid Melchizedek a tenth.
Through Abraham even Levi, the one receiving tithes, has paid the tithe, so to speak—
One might even say that Levi himself, who receives tithes, paid tithes through Abraham,
Levi collects the tenth. But we might say that Levi paid the tenth through Abraham.
And as I may so say, Levi also, who receiveth tithes, payed tithes in Abraham.
One might go even further and say that Levi, who himself receives tenths, paid a tenth through Avraham;
And we say that Levi, the priest who takes the tenth from the people, gave his tenth through Abraham.
One might even say that Levi himself, who receives tithes, paid tithes through Abraham,
One could even go so far as to say that even Levi, who receives ma’aser, has paid ma’aser through Avraham Avinu,
We could even say that when Abraham gave Melchizedek a tenth of everything, Levi was giving a tenth of everything. Levi gave, although later his descendants would receive a tenth of everything.
One might say that Levi also, who receives tithes, paid tithes through Abraham,
Now those from the family of Levi are the ones who get a tenth from the people. But we can say that when Abraham paid Melchizedek a tenth, then Levi also paid it.
It is Levi who gets a tenth from the people. But we might even say that when Abraham paid Melchizedek a tenth, then Levi also paid it.
And, so to speak, even Levi, the one who receives tithes, has paid tithes through Abraham.
One might even say that Levi, who collects the tenth, paid the tenth through Abraham,
And so to speak, through Abraham even Levi, the one receiving the tenths, has paid-a-tenth.
