Now he who serves for wages flees because he serves for wages, and is not himself concerned about the sheep.

The hired hand is concerned about what he's going to get paid and not about the sheep.
This happens because he is a hired man and doesn't care about the sheep.

Because he is a hired hand and is not concerned about the sheep, he runs away.
"He flees because he is a hired hand and is not concerned about the sheep.
The man runs away because he is a hired hand and cares nothing for the sheep.
The hired hand runs away because he's working only for the money and doesn't really care about the sheep.

For he is only a hired servant and cares nothing for the sheep.

That man runs away because the sheep do not belong to him. He does not think that the sheep are important.

“So the hired servant flees because he is a hired servant and does not care for the sheep.
The hired hand runs because he works only for wages and does not care for the sheep.
The hired man runs because he is hired and has no real concern for the sheep.
He runs away because he is only a hired hand and he has no concern for the sheep.

Now the hireling flees because he merely serves for wages and is not himself concerned about the sheep [cares nothing for them].
The man runs away because he is only a paid worker and does not really care about the sheep.
“I am the Good Shepherd. The Good Shepherd puts the sheep before himself, sacrifices himself if necessary. A hired man is not a real shepherd. The sheep mean nothing to him. He sees a wolf come and runs for it, leaving the sheep to be ravaged and scattered by the wolf. He’s only in it for the money. The sheep don’t matter to him.
Because he works for money, he does not care about the sheep.
He does this because he is simply a hired hand and has no real concern for the sheep.
The hired hand runs away because a hired hand does not care for the sheep.
The hired servant flees because he is a hired servant, and does not care for the sheep.
The hired man runs away because he is only a hired man and does not care about the sheep.
And the hired hind fleeth, for he is an hired hind, and it pertaineth not to him of the sheep.
He’ll run away because he’s only a hired servant, and doesn’t care about the sheep.
Hired workers run away because they don't care about the sheep.
He flees because he is a hireling and cares nothing for the sheep.
Jesus gave them this illustration but they did not grasp the point of what he was saying to them. So Jesus said to them once more, “I do assure you that I myself am the door for the sheep. All who have gone before me are like thieves and rogues, but the sheep did not listen to them. I am the door. If a man goes in through me, he will be safe and sound; he can come in and out and find his food. The thief comes with the sole intention of stealing and killing and destroying, but I came to bring them life, and far more life than before. I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd will give his life for the sake of his sheep. But the hired man, who is not the shepherd, and does not own the sheep, will see the wolf coming, desert the sheep and run away. And the wolf will attack the flock and send them flying. The hired man runs away because he is only a hired man and has no interest in the sheep. I am the good shepherd, and I know those that are mine and my sheep know me, just as the Father knows me and I know the Father. And I am giving my life for the sake of the sheep.

This happens because he is a hireling and the tzon means nothing to him.
The hired hand is concerned about what he’s going to get paid and not about the sheep.
