hoc autem a semet ipso non dixit sed cum esset pontifex anni illius prophetavit quia Iesus moriturus erat pro gente
And this spoke he not of himself: but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus should die for that nation;
And this spoke he not of himself: but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus should die for that nation;
And this spake he not of himself: but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus should die for that nation;
And this spake he not of himself: but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus should die for that nation;
Now this he did not say on his own authority; but being high priest that year he prophesied that Jesus would die for the nation,
And he spoke this not of himself, but, being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus should die for that nation;
Now this he said not of himself: but, being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus should die for the nation;
But this he said not of his own accord, but because he was The High Priest that year, he prophesied that Yeshua was going to die for the nation.
But this he did not say of himself; but, being high priest that year, prophesied that Jesus was going to die for the nation;
And this he spoke not of himself: but being the high priest of that year, he prophesied that Jesus should die for the nation.
Now this he said not of himself: but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus should die for the nation;
He did not say this of his own accord, but being high priest that year he prophesied that Jesus would die for the nation,
Caiaphas didn't say this on his own. As chief priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus would die for the Jewish nation.
He did not say this on his own, but being high priest that year he prophesied that Jesus was going to die for the nation,
Now he did not say this on his own initiative. As high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus would die for the nation,
(Now he did not say this on his own, but because he was high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus was going to die for the Jewish nation,
Now he did not say this on his own initiative, but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus was going to die for the nation,
He did not say this on his own, but as high priest that year he prophesied that Jesus would die for the Jewish nation,
He did not say this on his own; as high priest at that time he was led to prophesy that Jesus would die for the entire nation.
And this he spoke not of himself: but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus should die for that nation;
It was not as a mere man that he thus spoke. But being High Priest that year he was inspired to declare that Jesus was to die for the nation,
Now he didn't say this of himself, but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus would die for the nation,
Caiaphas did not say this because he had thought it by himself. No, he was speaking as a prophet, because he was the leader of the priests that year. That is why he said that Jesus would die on behalf of Israel's people.
And this he said not of himself, but being chief priest of that year, he did prophesy that Jesus was about to die for the nation,
Caiaphas did not think of these words himself. He spoke what God had said would happen. He was telling before it happened that Jesus must die for the nation.
He spoke this, not of himself, but being High Priest that same year, he prophesied that Jesus would die for the nation;
His speech was more than it seemed. As high priest that year, Caiaphas prophesied (without knowing it) that Jesus would die on behalf of the entire nation,
This prophecy that Jesus should die for the entire nation came from Caiaphas in his position as High Priest—he didn’t think of it by himself, but was inspired to say it.
He did not say this on his own, but as the high priest that year he was prophesying that Jesus was to die for the nation,
Now he did not say this from himself, but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus was going to die for the nation,
And this he spoke not of himself; but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus should die for the nation;
He did not say this on his own, but being high priest that year he prophesied that Jesus was going to die for the nation,
Now he did not say this simply of his own accord [he was not self-moved]; but being the high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus was to die for the nation,
Caiaphas did not think of this himself. As high priest that year, he was really prophesying that Jesus would die for their nation
Then one of them—it was Caiaphas, the designated Chief Priest that year—spoke up, “Don’t you know anything? Can’t you see that it’s to our advantage that one man dies for the people rather than the whole nation be destroyed?” He didn’t say this of his own accord, but as Chief Priest that year he unwittingly prophesied that Jesus was about to die sacrificially for the nation, and not only for the nation but so that all God’s exile-scattered children might be gathered together into one people.
He did not say this on his own, but, as high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus was going to die for the nation,
He did not say this · on his own, but being high priest · that year he was prophesying that Jesus was about to die for the nation,
He did not say this on his own, but being high priest that year he prophesied that Jesus was about to die for the nation,

Actually, he did not say this of his own accord; rather, as he was High Priest that year, he was prophesying that Jesus was going to die for the Jewish people,
But [Forsooth] he said not this thing of himself, but when he was bishop of that year, he prophesied, that Jesus was to die for the folk,
He didn’t say this of his own accord. Since he was high priest that year, it was a prophecy. It meant that Jesus would die for the nation;
Caiaphas did not say this on his own. As high priest that year, he was prophesying that Jesus would die for the nation.
He did not say this of his own accord, but being high priest that year he prophesied that Jesus should die for the nation,
But one of them, Caiaphas, who was High Priest that year, addressed the meeting: “You plainly don’t understand what is involved here. You do not realise that it would be a good thing for us if one man should die for the sake of the people—instead of the whole nation being destroyed.” (He did not make this remark on his own initiative but, since he was High Priest that year, he was in fact inspired to say that Jesus was going to die for the nation’s sake—and in fact not for that nation only, but to bring together into one family all the children of God scattered throughout the world.) From that day then, they planned to kill him. As a consequence Jesus made no further public appearance among the Jews but went away to the countryside on the edge of the desert, and stayed with his disciples in a town called Ephraim. The Jewish Passover was approaching and many people went up from the country to Jerusalem before the actual Passover, to go through a ceremonial cleansing. They were looking for Jesus there and kept saying to one another as they stood in the Temple, “What do you think? Surely he won’t come to the festival?”
He did not say this on his own, but being high priest that year he prophesied that Jesus was about to die for the nation,
He did not say this on his own, but being high priest that year he prophesied that Jesus was about to die for the nation,
He didn’t say this on his own. As high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus would soon die for the nation—
Now he did not say this [simply] on his own initiative; but being the high priest that year, he [was unknowingly used by God and] prophesied that Jesus was going to die for the nation,
He did not say this of his own accord, but being high priest that year he prophesied that Jesus would die for the nation,
He did not say this on his own, but since he was high priest for that year, he prophesied that Jesus was going to die for the nation,
Now he did not say this on his own, but as he was high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus was going to die for the nation;
Caiaphas did not ·think of this himself [L say this from himself]. As high priest that year, he was really prophesying that Jesus would die for their nation
Now he did not say this by himself; but as the kohen gadol that year, he prophesied that Yeshua would die for the nation.
He did not say this of his own accord, but being high priest that year he prophesied that Jesus should die for the nation,
He did not say this on his own because he was high priest at that time. He prophesied that Jesus would die for the Jewish nation.
And this spake he not of himself: but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus should die for that nation;
Now he didn’t speak this way on his own initiative; rather, since he was cohen gadol that year, he was prophesying that Yeshua was about to die on behalf of the nation,
He himself did not understand what he was saying. But he was the high priest that year. God spoke through him to say that Jesus should die for those people.
He did not say this on his own, but being high priest that year he prophesied that Jesus was about to die for the nation,
But this he did not utter from himself, but, being Kohen Gadol that year, he uttered a dvar hanevu’ah that Rebbe, Melech HaMoshiach was about to die on behalf of the nation [Ex 28:30; Num 27:21; Isa 53:8]
Caiaphas didn’t say this on his own. As chief priest that year, he prophesied that Yeshua would die for the Jewish nation.
He did not say this on his own authority. But being the high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus would die for the nation,
