εἶπαν οὖν οἱ Ἰουδαῖοι· Τεσσεράκοντα καὶ ἓξ ἔτεσιν οἰκοδομήθη ὁ ναὸς οὗτος, καὶ σὺ ἐν τρισὶν ἡμέραις ἐγερεῖς αὐτόν;

Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and will you raise it up in three days?

Then the Jews said, “It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and will You raise it up in three days?”

The Jews therefore said, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou raise it up in three days?

The Jews were saying to him: “For forty six years this temple has been being built, and will you raise it in three days?”

The Jews therefore said, Forty and six years was this temple building, and thou wilt raise it up in three days?

The Jews then said: Six and forty years was this temple in building; and wilt thou raise it up in three days?

The Jews therefore said, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou raise it up in three days?

The Jews then said, “It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and will you raise it up in three days?”

The Jews said, "It took forty-six years to build this temple. Do you really think you're going to rebuild it in three days?"

Therefore the Jews said, "This sanctuary took 46 years to build, and will You raise it up in three days?"

The Jewish leaders said, "This sanctuary has been under construction for 46 years, and you're going to rebuild it in three days?"

Then the Jewish leaders said to him, "This temple has been under construction for forty-six years, and are you going to raise it up in three days?"

The Jews then said, "It took forty-six years to build this temple, and will You raise it up in three days?"

They replied, "It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and you are going to raise it in three days?"

"What!" they exclaimed. "It has taken forty-six years to build this Temple, and you can rebuild it in three days?"

Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days?

"It has taken forty-six years," replied the Jews, "to build this Sanctuary, and will you rebuild it in three days?"

The Jews therefore said, "It took forty-six years to build this temple! Will you raise it up in three days?"

The Jews replied, ‘People have worked for 46 years to build this house. But you say that you will build it again in three days!’

The Jews, therefore, said, `Forty and six years was this sanctuary building, and wilt thou in three days raise it up?'

Then the Jews said, “It took forty-six years to build this house of God. Will You build it up in three days?”

Then the Jews said, “Forty-six years it took to build this Temple, and You will raise it up in three days?”

Jews: Three days? This temple took more than 46 years to complete. You think You can replicate that feat in 3 days?

“What!” they exclaimed. “It took forty-six years to build this Temple, and you can do it in three days?”

The Jews responded, “This temple has taken forty-six years to build, and you are going to raise it up in three days!”

The Jews then said, “It took forty-six years to build this sanctuary, and will You raise it up in three days?”

Then said the Jews, This temple was forty-six years in building, and wilt thou raise it up in three days?

Therefore the Jews said, “This temple took forty-six years to build, and will you raise it up in three days?”

Then the Jews replied, It took forty-six years to build this temple (sanctuary), and will You raise it up in three days?

They answered, “It took forty-six years to build this Temple! Do you really believe you can build it again in three days?”

They were indignant: “It took forty-six years to build this Temple, and you’re going to rebuild it in three days?” But Jesus was talking about his body as the Temple. Later, after he was raised from the dead, his disciples remembered he had said this. They then put two and two together and believed both what was written in Scripture and what Jesus had said.

The Jews said, “It took forty-six years to build this temple! And you are going to raise it in three days?”

Then the Jews said, “This temple has been under construction for forty-six · years, · and you can restore it in three days?”

The Jews then said, “This temple has been under construction for forty-six years, and will you raise it up in three days?”

Then the Jews said, This temple was forty-six years in building, and will you rear it up in three days?

“Are you going to build it again in three days?” they asked him. “It has taken forty-six years to build this Temple!”

Therefore the Jews said to him, In forty and six years this temple was builded, and shalt thou in three days raise it [In forty and six years this temple is built, and thou in three days shalt raise it]?

“It’s taken forty-six years to build this Temple,” responded the Judaeans, “and are you going to raise it up in three days?”

The leaders replied, “It took 46 years to build this temple. What makes you think you can rebuild it in three days?”

The Jews then said, “It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and will you raise it up in three days?”

To which the Jews replied, “This Temple took forty-six years to build, and you are going to rebuild it in three days?”

The Jews then said, “This temple has been under construction for forty-six years, and will you raise it up in three days?”

The Jews then said, ‘This temple has been under construction for forty-six years, and will you raise it up in three days?’

The Jewish leaders replied, “It took forty-six years to build this temple, and you will raise it up in three days?”

Then the Jews replied, “It took forty-six years to build this temple, and You will raise it up in three days?”

The Jews then said, “It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and will you raise it up in three days?”

The Jews said, “This temple has been under construction for forty-six years, and you will raise it up in three days?”

The Jews then said, “It took forty-six years to build this temple, and yet You will raise it up in three days?”

·They [The Jewish leaders; L The Jews] answered, “It took forty-six years [C Herod the Great began a reconstruction and expansion of the Temple complex in 20 bc, thus dating this statement to about ad 27] to ·build [reconstruct] this Temple! Do you really believe you can ·build [raise] it again in three days?”

The Judean leaders then said to Him, “Forty-six years this Temple was being built, and You will raise it up in three days?”

The Jews then said, “It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and will you raise it up in three days?”

They replied, “It has taken 46 years to build this temple. Are you going to raise it up in three days?”

Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days?

The Judeans said, “It took 46 years to build this Temple, and you’re going to raise it in three days?”

The Jewish leaders said, `It took forty-six years to build this temple. Do you say you will raise it in three days?'

The Jews then said, ‘This temple has been under construction for forty-six years, and will you raise it up in three days?’

Those of Yehudah then said, In forty and six years this Heikhal was built and you in shloshah yamim will raise it?

The Jews said, “It took forty-six years to build this temple. Do you really think you’re going to rebuild it in three days?”

Then the Jews said, “It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and will You raise it up in three days?”

They answered, “People worked 46 years to build this Temple! Do you really believe you can build it again in three days?”

The Jews answered, “Men worked 46 years to build this Temple! Do you really believe you can build it again in three days?”

Then the Jews said, “This temple has been under construction forty-six years, and will you raise it up in three days?”

They replied, ‘It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and you are going to raise it in three days?’

Then the Jews said, “This temple was built for forty and six years, and You will raise it in three days?”
