Some, when they argue with you, you must endeavor to convince;

Help those people who do not know whether to trust God. Be kind to them.

and to some be kind, judging thoroughly,

Have loving-kindness for those who doubt.

And have compassion on some, making distinctions.

Keep being kind to those who waver in this faith.

Try to help those who argue against you. Be merciful to those who doubt.

Have compassion for those who are wavering.

And on some, who are doubting, have mercy;

And receive some with mercy, discerning;

Have mercy on those who waver;

And refute [so as to] convict some who dispute with you, and on some have mercy who waver and doubt.

Show mercy to some people who have doubts.

Go easy on those who hesitate in the faith. Go after those who take the wrong way. Be tender with sinners, but not soft on sin. The sin itself stinks to high heaven.

Show mercy to those who are wavering.

Show mercy toward those who have doubts;

And reprove ye these men that be deemed,

With some people who are wavering, you must show mercy.

Be helpful to all who may have doubts.

But you, dear friends of mine, build yourselves up on the foundation of your most holy faith and by praying through the Holy Spirit keep yourselves within the love of God. Wait patiently for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ which will bring you to the life eternal. For some of these men you can feel pity and you can treat them differently. Others you must try to save by fear, snatching them as it were out of the fire while hating the very garments their deeds have befouled.

To those who are wavering, show rachamim; others, deliver, snatching them out of the Eish [Olam, YESHAYAH 66:24].
