And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?

And behold a certain lawyer stood up, tempting him, and saying, Master, what must I do to possess eternal life?

And behold, a lawyer stood up to put him to the test, saying, “Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?”

Then an expert in Moses' Teachings stood up to test Jesus. He asked, "Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?"

Just then an expert in the law stood up to test Him, saying, "Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?"

Just then an expert in the Law stood up to test Jesus. He asked, "Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?"

Now an expert in religious law stood up to test Jesus, saying, "Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?"

And a lawyer stood up and put Him to the test, saying, "Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?"

On one occasion an expert in the law stood up to test Jesus. "Teacher," he asked, "what must I do to inherit eternal life?"

One day an expert in religious law stood up to test Jesus by asking him this question: "Teacher, what should I do to inherit eternal life?"

And behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?

Then an expounder of the Law stood up to test Him with a question. "Rabbi," he asked, "what shall I do to inherit the Life of the Ages?"

Behold, a certain lawyer stood up and tested him, saying, "Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?"

A teacher of God's Law stood up. He wanted to see how Jesus would answer his question. So he asked Jesus, ‘Teacher, what must I do so that I can live with God for ever?’

And lo, a certain lawyer stood up, trying him, and saying, `Teacher, what having done, life age-during shall I inherit?'

A man stood up who knew the Law and tried to trap Jesus. He said, “Teacher, what must I do to have life that lasts forever?”

Then behold, a certain lawyer stood up and tempted Him, saying, “Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?”

Just then a scholar of the Hebrew Scriptures tried to trap Jesus. Scholar: Teacher, what must I do to experience the eternal life?

One day an expert on Moses’ laws came to test Jesus’ orthodoxy by asking him this question: “Teacher, what does a man need to do to live forever in heaven?”

And behold, a lawyer came forward to test Jesus by asking, “Teacher, what must I do to gain eternal life?”

And behold, a scholar of the Law stood up and was putting Him to the test, saying, “Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?”

And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?

Then an expert in the law stood up to test him, saying, “Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?”

And then a certain lawyer arose to try (test, tempt) Him, saying, Teacher, what am I to do to inherit everlasting life [that is, to partake of eternal salvation in the Messiah’s kingdom]?

Then an expert on the law stood up to test Jesus, saying, “Teacher, what must I do to get life forever?”

Just then a religion scholar stood up with a question to test Jesus. “Teacher, what do I need to do to get eternal life?”

Just then, an expert in the law stood up to test Jesus, saying, “Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?”

Once a lawyer stood up to put him to the test, saying, “Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?”

Just then a lawyer stood up to test Jesus. “Teacher,” he said, “what must I do to inherit eternal life?”

And a certain doctor of the law stood up and tested him, saying, Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?

A teacher of the Law came up and tried to trap Jesus. “Teacher,” he asked, “what must I do to receive eternal life?”

And lo! a wise man of the law rose up, tempting him, and saying, Master, what thing shall I do to have everlasting life? [And lo! a wise man of law rose, tempting him, and saying, Master, what thing doing shall I wield everlasting life?]

A lawyer got up and put Jesus on the spot. “Teacher,” he said, “what should I do to inherit the life of the coming age?”

An expert in the Law of Moses stood up and asked Jesus a question to see what he would say. “Teacher,” he asked, “what must I do to have eternal life?”

And behold, a lawyer stood up to put him to the test, saying, “Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?”

Then one of the experts in the Law stood up to test him and said, “Master, what must I do to be sure of eternal life?”

An expert in the law stood up to test Jesus. “Teacher,” he said, “what must I do to inherit eternal life?”

Just then a lawyer stood up to test Jesus. ‘Teacher,’ he said, ‘what must I do to inherit eternal life?’

A legal expert stood up to test Jesus. “Teacher,” he said, “what must I do to gain eternal life?”

And a certain lawyer [an expert in Mosaic Law] stood up to test Him, saying, “Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?”

And behold, a lawyer stood up to put him to the test, saying, “Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?”

There was a scholar of the law who stood up to test him and said, “Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?”

And behold, a lawyer stood up and put Him to the test, saying, “Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?”

Then an expert on the law stood up to test Jesus, saying, “Teacher, what must I do to ·get life forever [L inherit eternal life]?”

Now a certain Torah lawyer stood up to entrap Yeshua, saying, “Teacher, what should I do to gain eternal life?”

And behold, a lawyer stood up to put him to the test, saying, “Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?”

One day an authority on the law stood up to test Jesus. “Teacher,” he asked, “what must I do to receive eternal life?”

And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?

An expert in Torah stood up to try and trap him by asking, “Rabbi, what should I do to obtain eternal life?”

A man who taught God's law stood up and asked Jesus a question to try him out. `Teacher,' he said. `What must I do so that I will live for ever?'

Just then a lawyer stood up to test Jesus. ‘Teacher,’ he said, ‘what must I do to inherit eternal life?’

And a certain Talmid Chacham, a Baal Torah, stood up, testing Rebbe Melech HaMoshiach, saying, Rabbi, what mitzvah must I do to inherit Chayyei Olam?

Then an expert in Moses’ Teachings stood up to test Yeshua. He asked, “Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?”

Now, a lawyer stood up and tested Him, saying, “Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?”

Then an expert in the law stood up to test Jesus. He said, “Teacher, what must I do to get eternal life?”

Then a teacher of the law stood up. He was trying to test Jesus. He said, “Teacher, what must I do to get life forever?”

And behold, a certain legal expert stood up to test him, saying, “Teacher, what must I do so that I will inherit eternal life?”

On one occasion an expert in the law stood up to test Jesus. ‘Teacher,’ he asked, ‘what must I do to inherit eternal life?’

And behold— a certain Law-expert stood up, putting Him to the test, saying, “Teacher, [by] having done what shall I inherit eternal life?”
