kai rumeis ginesthe etoimoi, oti e ora ou dokeite o uios tou anthropou erkhetai.

et vos estote parati quia qua hora non putatis Filius hominis venit

Be you therefore ready also: for the Son of man comes at an hour when you think not.

I’m trying to tell you that these are times for alertness, times requiring a sense of urgency and intensity, because like the master in the first story or the thief in the second, the Son of Man shows up by surprise.

So be ready all the time. For I, the Messiah, will come when least expected.”

So you must also be prepared, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.”

So always be ready! You don't know when the Son of Man will come.

And if he should come just after midnight or in the very early morning, and find them still on the alert, their happiness is assured. But be certain of this, that if the householder had known the time when the burglar would come, he would not have let his house be broken into. So you must be on the alert, for the Son of Man is coming at a time when you may not expect him.”
