καὶ ἕτερος εἶπεν· Γυναῖκα ἔγημα καὶ διὰ τοῦτο οὐ δύναμαι ἐλθεῖν.

kai eteros eipen* Gunaika egema kai dia touto ou dunamai elthein.

et alius dixit uxorem duxi et ideo non possum venire

And another said, I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come.

And another said, I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come.

Still another said, ‘I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come.’

And another said, ‘I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come.’

And another said, I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come.

“Another said, 'I have taken a wife, and therefore I cannot come.' “

And another said, I have married a wife, and on this account I cannot come.

And another said: I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come.

And another said, I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come.

And another said, ‘I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come.’

Still another said, 'I recently got married, and that's why I can't come.'

"And another said, I just got married, and therefore I'm unable to come.'

Still another said, 'I recently got married, so I can't come.'

Another said, 'I just got married, and I cannot come.'

"Another one said, 'I have married a wife, and for that reason I cannot come.'

"Still another said, 'I just got married, so I can't come.'

Another said, 'I now have a wife, so I can't come.'

And another said, I have married a wife: and therefore I cannot come.

"Another said, "'I am just married. It is impossible for me to come.'

"Another said, 'I have married a wife, and therefore I can't come.'

The third man said, “I have just married a wife. That is why I cannot come to the meal.”

and another said, A wife I married, and because of this I am not able to come.

And another one said, ‘I have just been married and I cannot come.’

“And another said, ‘I have married a wife. And therefore, I cannot come.’

Another said, “I just got married, so I can’t come.”

Another had just been married and for that reason couldn’t come.

Still another said, ‘I have just gotten married, and therefore I am unable to come.’

And another one said, ‘I have married a wife, and for that reason I cannot come.’

And another said, I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come.

“And another said, ‘I just got married, and therefore I’m unable to come.’

And another said, I have married a wife, and because of this I am unable to come.

A third person said, ‘I just got married; I can’t come.’

“And yet another said, ‘I just got married and need to get home to my wife.’

“Still another said, ‘I just got married, and so I am unable to attend.’

And another said, ‘I have married a wife, and because of this I am not able to come.’

Another said, ‘I have just been married, and therefore I cannot come.’

The third said, I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come.

Another one said, ‘I have just gotten married, and for that reason I cannot come.’

And another said, I have wedded a wife; and therefore I may not come.

And another one said, ‘I’ve just got married, so naturally I can’t come.’

Still another guest said, “I've just now married, and I can't be there.”

And another said, ‘I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come.’

But Jesus said to him, “Once upon a time, a man planned a big dinner party and invited a great many people. At dinner-time, he sent his servant out to tell those who were invited, ‘Please come, everything is ready now.’ But they all, as one man, began to make their excuses. The first one said to him, ‘I have bought some land. I must go and look at it. Please excuse me.’ Another one said, ‘I have bought five yoke of oxen and am on my way to try them out. Please convey my apologies.’ Another one said, ‘I have just got married and I am sure you will understand I cannot come.’ So the servant returned and reported all this to his master. The master of the house was extremely annoyed and said to his servant, ‘Hurry out now into the streets and alleys of the town, and bring here the poor and crippled and blind and lame.’ Then the servant said, ‘I have done what you told me, sir, and there are still empty places.’ Then the master replied, ‘Now go out to the roads and hedgerows and make them come inside, so that my house may be full. For I tell you that not one of the men I invited shall have a taste of my dinner.’”

Another said, ‘I have just been married, and therefore I cannot come.’

Another said, ‘I just got married, so I can’t come.’

And another said, ‘I have [recently] married a wife, and for that reason I am unable to come.’

And another said, ‘I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come.’

And another said, ‘I have just married a woman, and therefore I cannot come.’

And another one said, ‘I took a woman as my wife, and for that reason I cannot come.’

A third person said, ‘I just got married; I can’t come [C while newly married men were exempt from certain duties (Deut. 24:5), that is not a valid excuse for offending the host].’

Still another said, ‘I’ve married a wife, so I cannot come.’

And another said, ‘I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come.’

“Still another said, ‘I just got married, so I can’t come.’

And another said, I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come.

Still another said, ‘I have just gotten married, so I can’t come.’

Another one said, "I have married a woman, and so I cannot come."

Another said, “I have just been married, and therefore I cannot come.”

And another said, I took a wife and therefore I am not able to come.

Still another said, ‘I recently got married, and that’s why I can’t come.’

“Still another said, ‘I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come.’

A third man said, ‘I just got married; I can’t come.’

And another said, ‘I have married a wife, and for this reason I am not able to come.’

‘Still another said, “I have just got married, so I can’t come.”

And another said, ‘I married a woman, and for this reason I am not able to come’.
