For if you lay the foundation and are not able to finish it, everyone who sees it will ridicule you,
Otherwise, you might complete only the foundation before running out of money, and then everyone would laugh at you.
Lest perhaps after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish it, all that behold it begin to mock him,
lest perhaps, when he has laid the foundation and is unable to finish, all who see it shall begin to jeer at him,
Or perhaps, when he has laid a foundation, and is not able to finish, everyone who sees begins to mock him,
If you do not do this, you may not have enough money. You may put the first stones in the ground, but then you cannot finish the building. If you have to stop, other people will laugh at you. They will say to each other,
lest that he having laid a foundation, and not being able to finish, all who are beholding may begin to mock him,
or when the base of the building is finished, you might see that you do not have enough money to finish it. Then all who would see it would make fun of you.
“lest after he has laid the foundation and is not able to complete it, all who behold it begin to mock him,
If you lay the foundation but then can’t afford to finish the tower, everyone will mock you:
Otherwise he might complete only the foundation before running out of funds. And then how everyone would laugh!
Otherwise, if he has laid the foundation and then finds himself unable to finish the work, all who see it will ridicule him, saying,
Lest, when he has laid a foundation and is not able to finish, all who observe it begin to ridicule him,
Lest perhaps after he has laid the foundation and is not able to finish it, all that behold it begin to mock him,

If you don’t, you might lay the foundation, but you would not be able to finish. Then all who would see it would make fun of you,
“Is there anyone here who, planning to build a new house, doesn’t first sit down and figure the cost so you’ll know if you can complete it? If you only get the foundation laid and then run out of money, you’re going to look pretty foolish. Everyone passing by will poke fun at you: ‘He started something he couldn’t finish.’
Otherwise, when he has laid a foundation and is not able to finish, everyone who sees it will begin to ridicule him,

If you don't, you will not be able to finish the tower after laying the foundation; and all who see what happened will make fun of you.
Lest after that he hath set the foundament [Lest after he hath put the foundament], and be not able to perform, all that see, begin to scorn him,
Otherwise, when you’ve laid the foundation and then can’t finish it, everyone who sees it will begin to make fun of you.
Otherwise, you will start building the tower, but not be able to finish. Then everyone who sees what is happening will laugh at you.
Otherwise, when he has laid a foundation, and is not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him,
“If any of you wanted to build a tower, wouldn’t he first sit down and work out the cost of it, to see if he can afford to finish it? Otherwise, when he has laid the foundation and found himself unable to complete the building, everyone who sees it will begin to jeer at him, saying, ‘This is the man who started to build a tower but couldn’t finish it!’
Otherwise, when he has laid a foundation and is not able to finish, all who see it will begin to ridicule him,

If you don’t, you might lay the foundation, but you would not be able to finish. Then all who would see it would ·make fun of [mock; ridicule] you,
Otherwise, when he has laid a foundation and isn’t able to finish everything, all who see it begin to mock him,
Otherwise, when he has laid a foundation, and is not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him,
Suppose you start building and are not able to finish. Then everyone who sees what you have done will laugh at you.
Lest haply, after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish it, all that behold it begin to mock him,
If you don’t, then when you have laid the foundation but can’t finish, all the onlookers start making fun of you
If you do not have enough money, you will not be able to finish it after you have made the foundation. Then all the people who see it will laugh at you.
Otherwise, when he has laid a foundation and is not able to finish, all who see it will begin to ridicule him,
Otherwise, having laid his yesod (foundation) and not being able to finish it, everyone seeing it may begin to make leitzonus (fun, mockery) of him,
Otherwise, if you lay a foundation and can’t finish the building, everyone who watches will make fun of you.
Otherwise, perhaps, after he has laid the foundation and is not able to complete it, all who see it will begin to mock him,
If you don’t do that, you might begin the work, but you would not be able to finish. And if you could not finish it, everyone would laugh at you.
