Another came and he said, “My lord, behold, that mina, which I had is now laid in fine linen.”
And another came, saying, My Lord, lo, there is thy mina, which I have kept laid up in a towel.
And another came, saying: Lord, behold here is thy pound, which I have kept laid up in a napkin;
And another came, saying, Lord, behold, here is thy pound, which I kept laid up in a napkin:
Then another came, saying, ‘Lord, here is your mina, which I kept laid away in a handkerchief;
"Then the other servant said, 'Sir, look! Here's your coin. I've kept it in a cloth for safekeeping because
"And another came and said, Master, here is your mina. I have kept it hidden away in a cloth
"Then the other servant came and said, 'Sir, look! Here's your coin. I've kept it in a cloth for safekeeping
Then another slave came and said, 'Sir, here is your mina that I put away for safekeeping in a piece of cloth.
"Another came, saying, 'Master, here is your mina, which I kept put away in a handkerchief;
"Then another servant came and said, 'Sir, here is your mina; I have kept it laid away in a piece of cloth.
"But the third servant brought back only the original amount of money and said, 'Master, I hid your money and kept it safe.
And another came, saying, Lord, behold, here is thy pound, which I have kept laid up in a napkin:
"The next came. "'Sir,' he said, 'here is your pound, which I have kept wrapt up in a cloth.
Another came, saying, 'Lord, behold, your mina, which I kept laid away in a handkerchief,
Then another servant came. He said, “Master, here is your money. I put it away in a piece of cloth to keep it safe.
`And another came, saying, Sir, lo, thy pound, that I had lying away in a napkin;
“Another one came saying, ‘Lord, look! Here is your piece of money. I have kept it hid in a piece of cloth.
“So the other came, and said, ‘Lord, behold your mina, which I have put away in a handkerchief.
A third came and said, “Lord, I have successfully preserved the money you gave me. I wrapped it up in a napkin and hid it away
“But the third man brought back only the money he had started with. ‘I’ve kept it safe,’ he said,
“Then the third one came forward, saying, ‘Sir, here is your money. I kept it wrapped up in a handkerchief.
Then another came, saying, ‘Master, here is your mina, which I kept put away in a cloth;
And another came, saying, Lord, behold, here is thy mina, which I have kept laid up in a napkin,
“And another came and said, ‘Master, here is your mina. I have kept it safe in a cloth
Then another came and said, Lord, here is your mina, which I have kept laid up in a handkerchief.
“Then another servant came in and said to the king, ‘Sir, here is your coin which I wrapped in a piece of cloth and hid.
“The next servant said, ‘Master, here’s your money safe and sound. I kept it hidden in the cellar. To tell you the truth, I was a little afraid. I know you have high standards and hate sloppiness, and don’t suffer fools gladly.’
“And another one came and said, ‘Master, here is your mina that I laid away in a piece of cloth.
Then the other came, saying, ‘Master, look, · your mina that I kept laid away in a piece of cloth,
Then the other came, saying, ‘Lord, here is your pound. I wrapped it up in a piece of cloth,
And the third came and said, Lord, here is your mina, which I have kept in a napkin.
Another servant came and said, ‘Sir, here is your gold coin; I kept it hidden in a handkerchief.
And the third came, and said, Lord, lo! thy bezant, that I had, put up in a sudarium.
“The other came and said, ‘Master, here is your money. I kept it wrapped in this handkerchief.
Another servant came and said, “Sir, here is your money. I kept it safe in a handkerchief.
Then another came, saying, ‘Lord, here is your pound, which I kept laid away in a napkin;
“Once upon a time a man of good family went abroad to accept a kingdom and then return. He summoned ten of his servants and gave them each ten pounds, with the words, ‘Use this money to trade with until I come back.’ But the citizens detested him and they sent a delegation after him, to say, ‘We will not have this man to be our king.’ Then later, when he had received his kingdom, he returned and gave orders for the servants to whom he had given the money to be called to him, so that he could find out what profit they had made. The first came into his presence, and said, ‘Sire, your ten pounds have made a hundred pounds more.’ ‘Splendid, my good fellow,’ he said, ‘since you have proved trustworthy over this small amount, I am going to put you in charge of ten towns.’ The second came in and said, ‘Sire, your ten pounds have made fifty pounds.’ and he said to him, ‘Good, you’re appointed governor of five towns.’ When the last came, he said, ‘Sire, here are your ten pounds, which I have been keeping wrapped up in a handkerchief. I have been scared—I know you’re a hard man, getting something for nothing and reaping where you never sowed.’ To which he replied, ‘You scoundrel, your own words condemn you! You knew perfectly well, did you, that I am a hard man who gets something for nothing and reaps where he never sowed? Then why didn’t you put my money into the bank, and then when I returned I could have had it back with interest?’ Then he said to those who were standing by, ‘Take away his ten pounds and give it to the fellow who has a hundred.’
Then the other came, saying, ‘Lord, here is your pound. I wrapped it up in a piece of cloth,

“Another servant came and said, ‘Master, here is your money. I wrapped it up in a scarf for safekeeping.
Then another came and said, ‘Lord, here is your mina, which I have kept laid up in a handkerchief [for safekeeping].
Then another came, saying, ‘Lord, here is your mina, which I kept laid away in a handkerchief;
Then the other servant came and said, ‘Sir, here is your gold coin; I kept it stored away in a handkerchief,
And then another came, saying, ‘Master, here is your mina, which I kept tucked away in a handkerchief;
“Then another servant came in and said to the king, ‘Sir, here is your ·coin [mina] which I ·wrapped [stored away] in a ·piece of cloth [handkerchief] and hid.
But another came, saying, ‘Master, here is your mina. I was keeping it safe in a handkerchief,
Then another came, saying, ‘Lord, here is your pound, which I kept laid away in a napkin;
“Then another slave came. He said, ‘Sir, here is your money. I have kept it hidden in a piece of cloth.
And another came, saying, Lord, behold, here is thy pound, which I have kept laid up in a napkin:
“Then another one came and said, ‘Sir, here is your maneh. I kept it hidden in a piece of cloth,
`Then another servant came and said, "Sir, here is your money. I hid it in a cloth and kept it.
Then the other came, saying, “Lord, here is your pound. I wrapped it up in a piece of cloth,
And the other came saying, Adoni, hinei! Your mina which I had put away in a tichel (kerchief).
“Then the other servant said, ‘Sir, look! Here’s your coin. I’ve kept it in a cloth for safekeeping because
“Then another came, saying, ‘Master, look, here is your pound, which I have kept put away in a napkin.
“Then another servant came in and said to the king, ‘Sir, here is your bag of money. I wrapped it in a piece of cloth and hid it.
“Then another servant came in. The servant said to the king, ‘Sir, here is your bag of money. I wrapped it in a piece of cloth and hid it.
And another came, saying, ‘Sir, behold your mina, which I had put away for safekeeping in a piece of cloth.
‘Then another servant came and said, “Sir, here is your mina; I have kept it laid away in a piece of cloth.
And the other one came, saying, ‘Master, behold your mina, which I was holding, laying-away in a handkerchief.
