Then the man that the bad spirits had gone out from said to Jesus, ‘Please let me come with you.’ But Jesus replied, ‘No.

And the man from whom the demons had gone forth was beseeching of him to be with him, and Jesus sent him away, saying,

The man out of whom the demons had gone begged to go with Jesus. But Jesus sent him away and said,

but before they embark, the newly liberated man begs to come along and join the band of disciples.

The man who had been demon-possessed begged to go too, but Jesus said no.

The man whom he had delivered from the demons asked to go with him, but he sent him back, saying, “Go home and tell everything God did in you.” So he went back and preached all over town everything Jesus had done in him.
