And there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit; and he cried out,

And immediately there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit. And he cried out,

At that time there was a man in the synagogue who was controlled by an evil spirit. He shouted,

Just then a man with an unclean spirit was in their synagogue. He cried out,"

All of a sudden, there was a man in their synagogue who had an unclean spirit! He screamed,

Just then there was a man in their synagogue with an unclean spirit, and he cried out,

Just then there was a man in their synagogue with an unclean spirit; and he cried out,

Just then a man in their synagogue who was possessed by an impure spirit cried out,

Suddenly, a man in the synagogue who was possessed by an evil spirit began shouting,

And there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit; and he cried out,

when all at once, there in their synagogue, a man under the power of a foul spirit screamed out:

Immediately there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit, and he cried out,

In the meeting place, there was a man who had a bad spirit. The bad spirit caused the man to shout.

And there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit, and he cried out,

There was a man in the Jewish place of worship who had a demon. The demon cried out,

And there was a man in their Synagogue in whom was an unclean spirit. And he cried out,

Just then a man in the gathering who was overcome by an unclean spirit shouted.

A man possessed by a demon was present and began shouting,

In that synagogue there was a man with an unclean spirit, and he shrieked,

And immediately there was a man in their synagogue with an unclean spirit; and he cried out,

And there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit, and he cried out,

Just then a man with an unclean spirit was in their synagogue. He cried out,

Just at that time there was in their synagogue a man [who was in the power] of an unclean spirit; and now [immediately] he raised a deep and terrible cry from the depths of his throat, saying,

Just then, a man was there in the synagogue who had an evil spirit in him. He shouted,

Suddenly, while still in the meeting place, he was interrupted by a man who was deeply disturbed and yelling out, “What business do you have here with us, Jesus? Nazarene! I know what you’re up to! You’re the Holy One of God, and you’ve come to destroy us!”

Just then there was a man with an unclean spirit in their synagogue. It cried out,

· Suddenly there was in · their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit, and he cried out,

Just then there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit,

And there was in their synagogue a man vexed with an unclean spirit, who cried out,

Just then a man with an evil spirit came into the synagogue and screamed,

And in the synagogue of them was a man in an unclean spirit, and he cried out,

All at once, in their synagogue, there was a man with an unclean spirit.

Suddenly a man with an evil spirit in him entered the synagogue and yelled,

And immediately there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit;

They arrived at Capernaum, and on the Sabbath day Jesus walked straight into the synagogue and began teaching. They were amazed at his way of teaching, for he taught with the ring of authority—quite unlike the scribes. All at once, a man in the grip of an evil spirit appeared in the synagogue shouting out, “What have you got to do with us, Jesus from Nazareth? Have you come to kill us? I know who you are—you’re God’s holy one!”

Just then there was a man in their synagogue with an unclean spirit; and he cried out [terribly from the depths of his throat],

And immediately there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit. And he cried out,

In their synagogue was a man with an unclean spirit;

Just then there was a man in their synagogue with an unclean spirit; and he cried out,

Just then, a man was there in the synagogue who had an ·evil [defiling; L unclean] spirit in him. [C Demons were viewed as “unclean” or defiling spirit-beings.] He shouted,

Just then there was a man in their synagogue with an unclean spirit. And he cried out,

And immediately there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit;

Just then a man in their synagogue cried out. He was controlled by an evil spirit. He said,

And there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit; and he cried out,

In their synagogue just then was a man with an unclean spirit in him, who shouted,

A man who had a bad spirit in him was in the meeting house at that time.

Just then there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit,

And, ofen ort, there was in their shul a man with a ruach hatameh, and he shouted,

At that time there was a man in the synagogue who was controlled by an evil spirit. He shouted,

In their synagogue there was a man with an unclean spirit.

While Jesus was in the synagogue, a man was there who had an evil spirit inside him. The man shouted,

While he was in the synagogue, a man was there who had an evil spirit in him. The man shouted,

And so then there was a man in their synagogue with an unclean spirit, and he cried out,

Just then a man in their synagogue who was possessed by an impure spirit cried out,

And immediately there was a man in their synagogue with an unclean spirit. And he cried-out,
