Pharisaei autem dicebant ei ecce quid faciunt sabbatis quod non licet

And the Pharisees said to him, Behold, why do they on the sabbath day that which is not lawful?

And the Pharisees were saying to him, “Look, why are they doing what is not lawful on the Sabbath?”

The Pharisees asked him, "Look! Why are your disciples doing something that is not permitted on the day of worship?"

The Pharisees said to Him, "Look, why are they doing what is not lawful on the Sabbath?"

The Pharisees asked him, "Look! Why are they doing what is not lawful on Sabbath days?"

So the Pharisees said to him, "Look, why are they doing what is against the law on the Sabbath?"

The Pharisees were saying to Him, "Look, why are they doing what is not lawful on the Sabbath?"

The Pharisees said to him, "Look, why are they doing what is unlawful on the Sabbath?"

But the Pharisees said to Jesus, "Look, why are they breaking the law by harvesting grain on the Sabbath?"

And the Pharisees said to him, Behold, why do they on the sabbath that which is not lawful?

So the Pharisees said to Him, "Look! why are they doing what on the Sabbath is unlawful?"

The Pharisees said to him, "Behold, why do they do that which is not lawful on the Sabbath day?"

Some Pharisees said to Jesus, ‘Look at what your disciples are doing. They should not do that on our day of rest. It is against God's Law.’

and the Pharisees said to him, `Lo, why do they on the sabbaths that which is not lawful?'

The proud religious law-keepers said to Jesus, “See! Why are they doing what the Law says should not be done on the Day of Rest?”

And the Pharisees said to Him, “Why do they on the Sabbath day that which is not lawful?”

The Pharisees confronted Him. Pharisees: Did You see that? Why are Your disciples doing what our law forbids on the Sabbath?

Some of the Jewish religious leaders said to Jesus, “They shouldn’t be doing that! It’s against our laws to work by harvesting grain on the Sabbath.”

The Pharisees said to him, “Behold, why are your disciples doing what is forbidden on the Sabbath?”

And the Pharisees were saying to Him, “Look, why are they doing what is not lawful on the Sabbath?”

And the Pharisees said unto him, Behold, why do they on the sabbath day that which is not lawful?

The Pharisees said to him, “Look, why are they doing what is not lawful on the Sabbath?”

And the Pharisees said to Him, Look! Why are they doing what is not permitted or lawful on the Sabbath?

The Pharisees said to Jesus, “Why are your followers doing what is not lawful on the Sabbath day?”

One Sabbath day he was walking through a field of ripe grain. As his disciples made a path, they pulled off heads of grain. The Pharisees told on them to Jesus: “Look, your disciples are breaking Sabbath rules!”

The Pharisees said to him, “Look, why are they doing what is not lawful on the Sabbath day?”

So the Pharisees said to him, “Look, why are they doing what is not lawful on the Sabbath?”

The Pharisees said to him, “Look, why are they doing what is not lawful on the sabbath?”

And the Pharisees said to him, Look, why are they doing on the Sabbath days that which is not lawful?

So the Pharisees said to Jesus, “Look, it is against our Law for your disciples to do that on the Sabbath!”

And the Pharisees said to him, Lo! what thy disciples do in the sabbaths, that is not leaveful [Lo! what do thy disciples in sabbaths, the thing that is not leaveful(?)].

“Look here,” said the Pharisees to him, “why are they doing something illegal on the sabbath?”

Some Pharisees asked Jesus, “Why are your disciples picking grain on the Sabbath? They are not supposed to do that!”

And the Pharisees said to him, “Look, why are they doing what is not lawful on the sabbath?”

One day he happened to be going through the cornfields on the Sabbath day. And his disciples, as they made their way along, began to pick the ears of corn. The Pharisees said to him, “Look at that! Why should they do what is forbidden on the Sabbath day?”

The Pharisees said to him, “Look, why are they doing what is not lawful on the Sabbath?”

The Pharisees said to him, ‘Look, why are they doing what is not lawful on the sabbath?’

The Pharisees said to Jesus, “Look! Why are they breaking the Sabbath law?”

The Pharisees said to Him, “Look, why are they doing what is unlawful on the Sabbath?”

And the Pharisees were saying to him, “Look, why are they doing what is not lawful on the Sabbath?”

At this the Pharisees said to him, “Look, why are they doing what is unlawful on the sabbath?”

The Pharisees were saying to Him, “Look, why are they doing what is not lawful on the Sabbath?”

The Pharisees said to Jesus, “Why are your followers doing what is not lawful on the Sabbath day?” [C Gleaning was viewed as work, and therefore forbidden on the Sabbath; Ex. 34:21.]

The Pharisees were saying to Him, “Look, why are they doing what is not permitted on Shabbat?”

And the Pharisees said to him, “Look, why are they doing what is not lawful on the sabbath?”

The Pharisees said to Jesus, “Look! It is against the Law to do this on the Sabbath day. Why are your disciples doing it?”

And the Pharisees said unto him, Behold, why do they on the sabbath day that which is not lawful?

The P’rushim said to him, “Look! Why are they violating Shabbat?”

The Pharisees said to Jesus, `Why do your disciples do what is not right on the Sabbath day?'

The Pharisees said to him, ‘Look, why are they doing what is not lawful on the sabbath?’

And the Perushim said to him, Look, why are they engaging in what is not mutar (permissible) in the Torah on Shabbos?

The Pharisees asked him, “Look! Why are your disciples doing something that is not permitted on the day of worship?”

The Pharisees said to Him, “Look, why are they doing on the Sabbath what is not lawful?”

Some Pharisees said to Jesus, “Why are your followers doing this? It is against the law to pick grain on the Sabbath.”

The Pharisees saw this and said to Jesus, “Why are your followers doing what is not lawful on the Sabbath?”

And the Pharisees began to say to him, “Behold, why are they doing what is not permitted on the Sabbath?”

The Pharisees said to him, ‘Look, why are they doing what is unlawful on the Sabbath?’

And the Pharisees were saying to Him, “Look! Why are they doing on the Sabbath what is not lawful?”
