But he answered and said to them, Why do you also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?

He answered them, “And why do you break the commandment of God for the sake of your tradition?

He answered them, "Why do you break the commandment of God because of your traditions?

He answered them, "And why do you break God's commandment because of your tradition?

But he answered them, "Why do you also disregard the commandment of God because of your tradition?

He answered them, "And why do you disobey the commandment of God because of your tradition?

And He answered and said to them, "Why do you yourselves transgress the commandment of God for the sake of your tradition?

Jesus replied, "And why do you break the command of God for the sake of your tradition?

Jesus replied, "And why do you, by your traditions, violate the direct commandments of God?

But he answered and said to them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?

"Why do you, too," He retorted, "transgress God's commands for the sake of your tradition?

He answered them, "Why do you also disobey the commandment of God because of your tradition?

Jesus replied, ‘God tells us the right way to obey him. But you refuse. Instead, you like to keep your own ideas.

And he answering said to them, `Wherefore also do ye transgress the command of God because of your tradition?

Jesus said to them, “Why do you break the Law of God by trying to keep their teaching?

But He answered and said to them, “And why do you transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?

Jesus turned the Pharisees’ question back on them. Jesus: Why do you violate God’s command because of your tradition?

He replied, “And why do your traditions violate the direct commandments of God?

He answered them, “And why do you break the commandment of God for the sake of your tradition?

And He answered and said to them, “Why do you yourselves transgress the commandment of God for the sake of your tradition?

But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?

He answered them, “Why do you break God’s commandment because of your tradition?

He replied to them, And why also do you transgress and violate the commandment of God for the sake of the rules handed down to you by your forefathers (the elders)?

Jesus answered, “And why do you refuse to obey God’s command so that you can follow your own teachings?

But Jesus put it right back on them. “Why do you use your rules to play fast and loose with God’s commands? God clearly says, ‘Respect your father and mother,’ and, ‘Anyone denouncing father or mother should be killed.’ But you weasel around that by saying, ‘Whoever wants to, can say to father and mother, What I owed to you I’ve given to God.’ That can hardly be called respecting a parent. You cancel God’s command by your rules. Frauds! Isaiah’s prophecy of you hit the bull’s-eye: These people make a big show of saying the right thing, but their heart isn’t in it. They act like they’re worshiping me, but they don’t mean it. They just use me as a cover for teaching whatever suits their fancy.”

He answered them, “And why do you break the commandment of God for the sake of your tradition?

But he answered them, saying, “And why do you break the commandment of God for the sake of · your tradition?

He answered them, “And why do you break the commandment of God for the sake of your tradition?

He answered and said to them, And why do you transgress the commandment of God through your precepts?

Jesus answered, “And why do you disobey God's command and follow your own teaching?

He answered, and said to them, Why [also] break ye the commandment of God for your tradition?

“Why,” Jesus replied, “do you go against the command of God because of your tradition?

Jesus answered: Why do you disobey God and follow your own teaching?

He answered them, “And why do you transgress the commandment of God for the sake of your tradition?

“Tell me,” replied Jesus, “why do you break God’s commandment through your tradition? For God said, ‘Honour your father and your mother’, and ‘He who curses father or mother, let him be put to death’. But you say that if a man tells his parents, ‘Whatever use I might have been to you is now given to God’, then he owes no further duty to his parents. And so your tradition empties the commandment of God of all its meaning. You hypocrites! Isaiah describes you beautifully when he said: ‘These people draw near to me with their mouth, and honour me with their lips, but their heart is far from me. And in vain they worship me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men’.”

He answered them, “And why do you break the commandment of God for the sake of your tradition?

Jesus replied, “Why do you break the command of God by keeping the rules handed down to you?

He replied to them, “Why also do you violate the commandment of God for the sake of your tradition [handed down by the elders]?

He answered them, “And why do you break the commandment of God for the sake of your tradition?

He said to them in reply, “And why do you break the commandment of God for the sake of your tradition?

And He answered and said to them, “Why do you yourselves also break the commandment of God for the sake of your tradition?

Jesus answered, “And why do you ·refuse to obey [break; violate] God’s command ·so that you can follow your own teachings [L for the sake of your traditions]?

And answering, He said to them, “Why do you also transgress the commandment of God for the sake of your tradition?

He answered them, “And why do you transgress the commandment of God for the sake of your tradition?

Jesus replied, “And why don’t you obey God’s command? You would rather follow your own teachings!

But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?

He answered, “Indeed, why do you break the command of God by your tradition?

Jesus asked them, `Why do you break God's law so that you can keep your own law?

He answered them, ‘And why do you break the commandment of God for the sake of your tradition?

But Rebbe, Melech HaMoshiach, in reply to them, said, Why [do] also you transgress the mitzvat Hashem for the sake of your own masoros?

He answered them, “Why do you break the commandment of God because of your traditions?

But He answered them, “Why do you also violate the commandment of God by your tradition?

Jesus answered, “And why do you refuse to obey God’s command so that you can follow those traditions you have?

So he answered and said to them, “Why do you also break the commandment of God because of your tradition?

Jesus replied, ‘And why do you break the command of God for the sake of your tradition?

But the One, having responded, said to them, “For what reason indeed are you transgressing the commandment of God for the sake of your tradition?
