ὁ δὲ εἶπεν αὐτῷ· Τί με ⸂ἐρωτᾷς περὶ τοῦ ἀγαθοῦ; εἷς ἐστιν ὁ ἀγαθός⸃· εἰ δὲ θέλεις ⸂εἰς τὴν ζωὴν εἰσελθεῖν⸃, ⸀τήρησον τὰς ἐντολάς.

And he said to him, Why call you me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if you will enter into life, keep the commandments.

Jesus replied, ‘Why do you ask me about a good thing? Only God is good. Nobody else. If you want to have real life, then you must obey God's laws.’

And he said to him, `Why me dost thou call good? no one [is] good except One -- God; but if thou dost will to enter into the life, keep the commands.'

Jesus said to him, “Why are you asking Me about what is good? There is only One Who is good. If you want to have life that lasts forever, you must obey the Laws.”

And He said to him, “Why did you call me good? There is no one good, but One, even God. But if you wish to enter into Life, keep the Commandments.”

Jesus: Strange that you should ask Me what is good. There is only One who is good. If you want to participate in His divine life, obey the Commandments.

“When you call me good you are calling me God,” Jesus replied, “for God alone is truly good. But to answer your question, you can get to heaven if you keep the commandments.”

He said to him, “Why do you ask me about what is good? There is only one who is good. But if you wish to enter into life, keep the commandments.”

And He said to him, “Why are you asking Me about what is good? There is only One who is good; but if you wish to enter into life, keep the commandments.”
