si autem dixerit malus servus ille in corde suo moram facit dominus meus venire
But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delays his coming;
But if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delays his coming;
But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming;
But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming;
But if that evil servant says in his heart, ‘My master is delaying his coming,’
But if that evil servant shall say in his heart, ‘My lord delayeth his coming,’
But if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord tarrieth;
But if an evil servant will say in his heart, “My Lord delays to come”,
But if that evil bondman should say in his heart, My lord delays to come,
But if that evil servant shall say in his heart: My lord is long a coming:
But if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord tarrieth;
But if that wicked servant says to himself, ‘My master is delayed,’
On the other hand, that servant, if he is wicked, may think that it will be a long time before his master comes.

"But if that wicked servant says to himself, 'My master has been delayed,'
But if that evil slave should say to himself, 'My master is staying away a long time,'
"But if that evil slave says in his heart, 'My master is not coming for a long time,'
But suppose that servant is wicked and says to himself, 'My master is staying away a long time,'
But what if the servant is evil and thinks, 'My master won't be back for a while,'
But if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My Lord delayeth his coming;
But if the man, being a bad servant, should say in his heart, 'My master is a long time in coming,'
But if that evil servant should say in his heart, 'My lord is delaying his coming,'
But another servant might be bad. He might say to himself, “My master will not come yet.”
`And, if that evil servant may say in his heart, My Lord doth delay to come,
But if that servant is bad, he will think, ‘The owner will not come soon.’
“But if that evil servant shall say in his heart, ‘My master delays his coming’,
But imagine that the master’s trust was misplaced, that the supposedly responsible servant is actually a thief who says to himself, “My master has been gone so long, he is not possibly coming back.”
“But if you are evil and say to yourself, ‘My Lord won’t be coming for a while,’
“But if that servant is wicked and says to himself, ‘My master is detained,’

But if that wicked servant says in his heart, ‘My master is delayed,’
But if that servant is wicked and says to himself, My master is delayed and is going to be gone a long time,
But suppose that evil servant thinks to himself, ‘My master will not come back soon,’
“But if that person only looks out for himself, and the minute the Master is away does what he pleases—abusing the help and throwing drunken parties for his friends—the Master is going to show up when he least expects it, and it won’t be pretty. He’ll end up in the dump with the hypocrites, out in the cold shivering, teeth chattering.”
But if that servant is wicked and says in his heart, ‘My master is staying away a long time,’
But suppose that servant is wicked and says · in · his heart, ‘My master is slow to return,’ ·

But if that evil servant [shall] say in his heart, My lord tarrieth to come,
But if the wicked slave says in his heart, ‘My master’s taking his time,’
But suppose one of the servants thinks the master won't return until late.
But if that wicked servant says to himself, ‘My master is delayed,’
“Who then is the faithful and sensible servant whom his master put in charge of his household to give others their food at the proper time? Well, he is fortunate if his master finds him doing that duty on his return! Believe me, he will promote him to look after all his property. But if he should be a bad servant who says to himself, ‘My master takes his time about returning’, and should begin to beat his fellow-servants and eat and drink with drunkards, that servant’s master will return suddenly and unexpectedly, and will punish him severely and send him off to share the penalty of the unfaithful—to his bitter sorrow and regret!
But if that wicked slave says to himself, ‘My master is delayed,’
