When the High Priests had gathered up the money they said, "It is illegal to put it into the Treasury, because it is the price of blood."
The chief priests took the pieces of silver, and said, "It's not lawful to put them into the treasury, since it is the price of blood."
The leaders of the priests picked up the coins. They said, ‘We used this money to catch and kill a man. So it is against our Law to use this same money for the temple.’
And the chief priests having taken the silverlings, said, `It is not lawful to put them to the treasury, seeing it is the price of blood;'
The head religious leaders took the money. They said, “It is against the Law to put this money in the house of God. This money has bought blood.”

The chief priests looked at the silver coins and picked them up. Chief Priests and Elders: You know, according to the law, we can’t put blood money in the temple treasury.
The chief priests picked the money up. “We can’t put it in the collection,” they said, “since it’s against our laws to accept money paid for murder.”
The chief priests retrieved the silver coins and said, “It is not lawful for us to deposit this into the temple treasury, for it is blood money.”
And the chief priests took the pieces of silver and said, “It is not lawful to put them into the temple treasury, since it is the price of blood.”
And the princes of the priests taking the silver pieces, said, It is not lawful to put them into the treasury because it is the price of blood.
The chief priests took the silver and said, “It’s not permitted to put it into the temple treasury, since it is blood money.”
But the chief priests, picking up the pieces of silver, said, It is not legal to put these in the [consecrated] treasury, for it is the price of blood.
The leading priests picked up the silver coins in the Temple and said, “Our law does not allow us to keep this money with the Temple money, because it has paid for a man’s death.”
The high priests picked up the silver pieces, but then didn’t know what to do with them. “It wouldn’t be right to give this—a payment for murder!—as an offering in the Temple.” They decided to get rid of it by buying the “Potter’s Field” and use it as a burial place for the homeless. That’s how the field got called “Murder Meadow,” a name that has stuck to this day. Then Jeremiah’s words became history: They took the thirty silver pieces, The price of the one priced by some sons of Israel, And they purchased the potter’s field. And so they unwittingly followed the divine instructions to the letter.

The chief priests picked up the coins and said, “This is blood money, and it is against our Law to put it in the Temple treasury.”

“Well now,” said the chief priests, picking up the money. “According to the law, we can’t put it into the Temple treasury. It’s the price of someone’s blood.”
The chief priests picked up the money and said, “This money was paid to have a man killed. We can't put it in the temple treasury.”
But the chief priests, taking the pieces of silver, said, “It is not lawful to put them into the treasury, since they are blood money.”
And Judas flung down the silver in the Temple and went outside and hanged himself. But the chief priests picked up the money and said, “It is not legal to put this into the Temple treasury. It is, after all, blood-money.” So, after a further consultation, they purchased with it the Potter’s Field to be a burial-ground for foreigners, which is why it is called “the Field of Blood” to this day. And so the words of Jeremiah the prophet came true: ‘And they took the thirty pieces of silver, the value of him who was priced, whom they of the children of Israel priced, and gave them for the potter’s field, as the Lord directed them’.

The chief priests took the money. They said, `It is not right to put this money in the money box of the temple. It has been used to buy a man's death.'
But the chief priests, taking the pieces of silver, said, ‘It is not lawful to put them into the treasury, since they are blood money.’
And the Rashei Hakohanim took the shiklei kesef and said, It is asur (forbidden) to put these into the Beis Hamikdash otzar (treasury), vi-bahlt (since) it is blood money.
The chief priests took the money and said, “It’s not right to put it into the temple treasury, because it’s blood money.”
The chief priests took the silver pieces and said, “It is not lawful to put them into the treasury, because this is the price of blood.”
