And the fourth messenger did sound, and smitten was the third of the sun, and the third of the moon, and the third of the stars, that darkened may be the third of them, and that the day may not shine -- the third of it, and the night in like manner.

The fourth angel blew his horn. One-third part of the sun and one-third part of the moon and one-third part of the stars were hurt. One-third part of them was made dark so that one-third part of the day and night had no light.

And the fourth angel blew the trumpet. And a third of the sun was struck, and a third of the moon, and a third of the stars; so that a third of them was darkened. And the day was struck, so that a third of it could not shine; and likewise the night.

For one-third of the day, the sun did not shine; and likewise for one-third of the night, the moon and stars did not give their light.

The fourth angel blew his trumpet, and immediately a third of the sun was blighted and darkened, and a third of the moon and the stars so that the daylight was dimmed by a third, and the nighttime darkness deepened.
