sicut enim in uno corpore multa membra habemus omnia autem membra non eundem actum habent
For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office:
For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office:
For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office:
For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office:
For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function,
For as we have many members in one body and all members have not the same office,
For even as we have many members in one body, and all the members have not the same office:
For just as we have many members in one body, and all those members do not have one function,
For, as in one body we have many members, but all the members have not the same office;
For as in one body we have many members, but all the members have not the same office:
For even as we have many members in one body, and all the members have not the same office:
For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function,
Our bodies have many parts, but these parts don't all do the same thing.
Now as we have many parts in one body, and all the parts do not have the same function,
For we have many parts in one body, but these parts do not all have the same function.
For just as in one body we have many members, and not all the members serve the same function,
For just as we have many members in one body and all the members do not have the same function,
For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function,
Just as our bodies have many parts and each part has a special function,
For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office:
For just as there are in the one human body many parts, and these parts have not all the same function;
For even as we have many members in one body, and all the members don't have the same function,
Each part of our body works in a different way. But all the parts belong to our one body.
for as in one body we have many members, and all the members have not the same office,
Our bodies are made up of many parts. None of these parts have the same use.
For as we have many members in one body, and all members do not have the same office,
For in the same way that one body has so many different parts, each with different functions;
Just as there are many parts to our bodies, so it is with Christ’s body. We are all parts of it, and it takes every one of us to make it complete, for we each have different work to do. So we belong to each other, and each needs all the others.
For just as in one body we have many parts, and the parts do not all have the same function,
For just as we have many members in one body and all the members do not have the same function,
For in the manner that we have many members in one body, nevertheless all the members do not have the same operation;
Now as we have many parts in one body, and all the parts do not have the same function,
For as in one physical body we have many parts (organs, members) and all of these parts do not have the same function or use,
Each one of us has a body with many parts, and these parts all have different uses.
In this way we are like the various parts of a human body. Each part gets its meaning from the body as a whole, not the other way around. The body we’re talking about is Christ’s body of chosen people. Each of us finds our meaning and function as a part of his body. But as a chopped-off finger or cut-off toe we wouldn’t amount to much, would we? So since we find ourselves fashioned into all these excellently formed and marvelously functioning parts in Christ’s body, let’s just go ahead and be what we were made to be, without enviously or pridefully comparing ourselves with each other, or trying to be something we aren’t. If you preach, just preach God’s Message, nothing else; if you help, just help, don’t take over; if you teach, stick to your teaching; if you give encouraging guidance, be careful that you don’t get bossy; if you’re put in charge, don’t manipulate; if you’re called to give aid to people in distress, keep your eyes open and be quick to respond; if you work with the disadvantaged, don’t let yourself get irritated with them or depressed by them. Keep a smile on your face. * * *
For we have many members in one body, and not all the members have the same function.
For as in our one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function,
For as in one body we have many members, and not all the members have the same function,
Just as we have many members in one body, and all members do not have the same service,
We have many parts in the one body, and all these parts have different functions.
For as in one body we have many members, but all the members have not the same deed [soothly all the members have not the same act, or deed];
As in one body we have many limbs and organs, you see, and all the parts have different functions,
A body is made up of many parts, and each of them has its own use.
For as in one body we have many members, and all the members do not have the same function,
As your spiritual teacher I give this piece of advice to each one of you. Don’t cherish exaggerated ideas of yourself or your importance, but try to have a sane estimate of your capabilities by the light of the faith that God has given to you all. For just as you have many members in one physical body and those members differ in their functions, so we, though many in number, compose one body in Christ and are all members of one another. Through the grace of God we have different gifts. If our gift is preaching, let us preach to the limit of our vision. If it is serving others let us concentrate on our service; if it is teaching let us give all we have to our teaching; and if our gift be the stimulating of the faith of others let us set ourselves to it. Let the man who is called to give, give freely; let the man who wields authority think of his responsibility; and let the man who feels sympathy for his fellows act cheerfully.
For as in one body we have many members and not all the members have the same function,
For as in one body we have many members, and not all the members have the same function,
We have many parts in one body, but the parts don’t all have the same function.
For just as in one [physical] body we have many parts, and these parts do not all have the same function or special use,
For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function,
For as in one body we have many parts, and all the parts do not have the same function,
For just as we have many parts in one body and all the body’s parts do not have the same function,
[L For just as] Each one of us has ·a [L one] body with many parts, and these parts all have different ·uses [functions].
For just as we have many parts in one body—and all the parts do not have the same function—
For as in one body we have many members, and all the members do not have the same function,
Each of us has one body with many parts. And the parts do not all have the same purpose.
For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office:
For just as there are many parts that compose one body, but the parts don’t all have the same function;
In a body there are many parts, but all the parts do not do the same thing.
For as in one body we have many members, and not all the members have the same function,
For just as in one body we have many members (natural capacities), and all the members do not have the same function,
Our bodies have many parts, but these parts don’t all do the same thing.
For just as we have many parts in one body, and not all parts have the same function,
Each one of us has one body, and that body has many parts. These parts don’t all do the same thing.
Each one of us has a body, and that body has many parts. These parts all have different uses.
For just as in one body we have many members, but all the members do not have the same function,
For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function,
For just as we have many body-parts in one body and all the body-parts do not have the same function,
