neque quia semen sunt Abrahae omnes filii sed in Isaac vocabitur tibi semen
Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall your seed be called.
Neither, because they are the descendants of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall your descendants be called.
Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called.
neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called.
nor are they all children because they are the seed of Abraham; but, “In Isaac your seed shall be called.”
neither because they are the seed of Abraham are they all children; but, “In Isaac shall thy seed be called.”
neither, because they are Abraham's seed, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called.
Neither because they are of his seed are they all children of Abraham, because it was said, “In Isaac your seed shall be called.”
nor because they are seed of Abraham are all children: but, In Isaac shall a seed be called to thee.
Neither are all they that are the seed of Abraham, children; but in Isaac shall thy seed be called:
neither, because they are Abraham's seed, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called.
and not all are children of Abraham because they are his offspring, but “Through Isaac shall your offspring be named.”
or a descendant of Abraham. However, [as Scripture says,] "Through Isaac your descendants will carry on your name."
Neither are they all children because they are Abraham's descendants. On the contrary, your offspring will be traced through Isaac.
and not all of Abraham's descendants are his true descendants. On the contrary, "It is through Isaac that descendants will be named for you."
nor are all the children Abraham's true descendants; rather "through Isaac will your descendants be counted."
nor are they all children because they are Abraham's descendants, but: "THROUGH ISAAC YOUR DESCENDANTS WILL BE NAMED."
Nor because they are his descendants are they all Abraham's children. On the contrary, "It is through Isaac that your offspring will be reckoned."
Being descendants of Abraham doesn't make them truly Abraham's children. For the Scriptures say, "Isaac is the son through whom your descendants will be counted," though Abraham had other children, too.
Neither because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called.
nor because they are Abraham's true children. But the promise was "Through Isaac shall your posterity be reckoned."
Neither, because they are Abraham's seed, are they all children. But, "In Isaac will your seed be called."
Not all of them are true descendants of Abraham. God told Abraham, ‘It is only Isaac that I will call the father of your descendants.’
nor because they are seed of Abraham [are] all children, but -- `in Isaac shall a seed be called to thee;'
Not all of Abraham’s family are children of God. God told Abraham, “Only the family of Isaac will be called your family.”
Nor are they all children because they are the seed of Abraham. But: “In Isaac shall your seed be called.”
Just because people can claim Abraham as their father does not make them his true children. But in the Scriptures, it says, “Through Isaac your covenant children will be named.”
Just the fact that they come from Abraham doesn’t make them truly Abraham’s children. For the Scriptures say that the promises apply only to Abraham’s son Isaac and Isaac’s descendants, though Abraham had other children too.
and not all of Abraham’s children are his true descendants. On the contrary, “It is through Isaac that descendants will bear your name.”
nor are they all children because they are Abraham’s seed, but: “through Isaac your seed will be named.”
neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are all sons, but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called.
Neither is it the case that all of Abraham’s children are his descendants. On the contrary, your offspring will be traced through Isaac.
And they are not all the children of Abraham because they are by blood his descendants. No, [the promise was] Your descendants will be called and counted through the line of Isaac [though Abraham had an older son].
and only some of Abraham’s descendants are true children of Abraham. But God said to Abraham: “The descendants I promised you will be from Isaac.”
Don’t suppose for a moment, though, that God’s Word has malfunctioned in some way or other. The problem goes back a long way. From the outset, not all Israelites of the flesh were Israelites of the spirit. It wasn’t Abraham’s sperm that gave identity here, but God’s promise. Remember how it was put: “Your family will be defined by Isaac”? That means that Israelite identity was never racially determined by sexual transmission, but it was God-determined by promise. Remember that promise, “When I come back next year at this time, Sarah will have a son”?
and not all who are descended from Abraham are really his children. On the contrary, “Your line of descent will be traced through Isaac.”
neither are they all children of Abraham because they are his descendants; on the contrary, “It is through Isaac that your descendants will be named.”
and not all of Abraham’s children are his true descendants; but “It is through Isaac that descendants shall be named for you.”
Nor are they all children just because they are the seed of Abraham, but: In Isaac shall thy seed be called.
Nor are all of Abraham's descendants the children of God. God said to Abraham, “It is through Isaac that you will have the descendants I promised you.”
Neither they that be [the] seed of Abraham, all be sons; but in Isaac the seed shall be called to thee;
Nor is it the case that all the children count as “seed of Abraham.” No: “in Isaac shall your seed be named.”
In fact, when God made the promise to Abraham, he meant only Abraham's descendants by his son Isaac. God was talking only about Isaac when he promised
and not all are children of Abraham because they are his descendants; but “Through Isaac shall your descendants be named.”
Now this does not mean that God’s word to Israel has failed. For you cannot count all “Israelites” as the true Israel of God. Nor can all Abraham’s descendants be considered truly children of Abraham. The promise was that ‘in Isaac your seed shall be called’.
and not all of Abraham’s children are his descendants, but “it is through Isaac that descendants shall be named for you.”
and not all of Abraham’s children are his true descendants; but ‘It is through Isaac that descendants shall be named after you.’
Not all of Abraham’s children are called Abraham’s descendants, but instead your descendants will be named through Isaac.
and they are not all the children of Abraham because they are his descendants [by blood], but [the promise was]: “Your descendants will be named through Isaac” [though Abraham had other sons].
and not all are children of Abraham because they are his offspring, but “Through Isaac shall your offspring be named.”
nor are they all children of Abraham because they are his descendants; but “It is through Isaac that descendants shall bear your name.”
nor are they all children because they are Abraham’s descendants, but: “through Isaac your descendants shall be named.”
·and only some of Abraham’s descendants are true children of Abraham [L nor are all of Abraham’s seed/descendants (true) children]. But God said to Abraham: “·The descendants I promised you will be from Isaac [or Through Isaac your descendants will carry on your name; Gen. 21:12].”
nor are they all children because they are Abraham’s seed; rather, “Your seed shall be called through Isaac.”
and not all are children of Abraham because they are his descendants; but “Through Isaac shall your descendants be named.”
Not everyone in Abraham’s family line is really his child. Not at all! Scripture says, “Your family line will continue through Isaac.” (Genesis 21:12)
Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called.
indeed, not all the descendants are seed of Avraham; rather, “What is to be called your ‘seed’ will be in Yitz’chak.”
This means that not all who were born in Abraham's family are God's children. God promised Abraham a son [Isaac]. His children [the Jews] are the ones that God called Abraham's true family.
and not all of Abraham’s children are his true descendants; but ‘It is through Isaac that descendants shall be named after you.’
Nor is it as though all the banim of K’lal Yisroel are the ZERA of Avraham Avinu, but (as it is written) BEYITZCHAK YIKARE L’CHA ZERA ("In Yitzchak shall your seed be called, named, summoned" BERESHIS 21:12).
or a descendant of Abraham. However, as Scripture says, “Through Isaac your descendants will carry on your name.”
nor are they all children because they are descendants of Abraham, but “In Isaac shall your descendants be called.”
And only some of Abraham’s descendants are true children of Abraham. This is what God said to Abraham: “Your true descendants will be those who come through Isaac.”
And only some of Abraham’s descendants are true children of Abraham. But God said to Abraham: “The descendants I promised you will be from Isaac.”
nor are they all children because they are descendants of Abraham, but “In Isaac will your descendants be named.”
Nor because they are his descendants are they all Abraham’s children. On the contrary, ‘It is through Isaac that your offspring will be reckoned.’
Nor are they all children because they are seed of Abraham, but “In Isaac a seed will be called for you” [Gen 21:12].
