et dixi Domine Deus quiesce obsecro quis suscitabit Iacob quia parvulus est
Then said I, O Lord GOD, cease, I beseech you: by whom shall Jacob arise? for he is small.
Then said I, O Lord GOD, cease, I beseech you: by whom shall Jacob arise? for he is small.
Then said I, O Lord GOD, cease, I beseech thee: by whom shall Jacob arise? for he is small.
Then said I, O Lord God, cease, I beseech thee: by whom shall Jacob arise? for he is small.
Then I said: “O Lord God, cease, I pray! Oh, that Jacob may stand, For he is small!”
Then said I, “O Lord God, cease, I beseech thee! By whom shall Jacob arise? For he is small.”
Then said I, O Lord Jehovah, cease, I beseech thee: how shall Jacob stand? for he is small.
Then said I, O Lord Jehovah, cease, I beseech thee! How shall Jacob arise? for he is small.
And I said: O Lord God, cease, I beseech thee, who shall raise up Jacob, for he is a little one?
Then said I, O Lord GOD, cease, I beseech thee: how shall Jacob stand? for he is small.
Then I said, “O Lord GOD, please cease! How can Jacob stand? He is so small!”
Then I said, "Almighty LORD, please stop! How can [the descendants of] Jacob survive? There are so few of them."
Then I said, "Lord GOD, please stop! How will Jacob survive since he is so small?"
So I kept on saying, "Lord GOD, forgive—please! How will Jacob stand, since he is so small?"
I said, "Sovereign LORD, stop! How can Jacob survive? He is too weak!"
Then I said, "Lord GOD, please stop! How can Jacob stand, for he is small?"
Then I cried out, "Sovereign LORD, I beg you, stop! How can Jacob survive? He is so small!"
Then I said, "O Sovereign LORD, please stop or we will not survive, for Israel is so small."
Then said I, O Lord GOD, cease, I beseech thee: by whom shall Jacob arise? for he is small.
Then I said, "Lord Yahweh, stop, I beg you! How could Jacob stand? For he is small."
I said, ‘Lord God, please do not do that! Your people cannot continue to live. We are too weak!’
`Lord Jehovah, cease, I pray Thee, How doth Jacob arise -- for he [is] small?'
Then I said, “Lord God, I beg You to stop! How can Jacob stay alive, for he is so small?”
Amos: O Eternal Lord, please no! Not this! How will Jacob’s descendants survive this? The nation is so small.
Then I said, “O Lord God, please don’t do it. If you turn against them, what hope is there? For Israel is so small!”
I said: Lord God, cease, I beg you. Jacob is so small; how can he survive?
Then I said, “Lord Yahweh, please stop! How can Jacob rise up, for he is small?”
Then said I, O Lord GOD, cease, I beseech thee; who shall raise up Jacob? for he is small.
Then I said, “Lord God, please stop! How will Jacob survive since he is so small?”
Then said I, O Lord God, cease, I pray You! How can Jacob stand? He is so little!
Then I cried out, “Lord God, stop! How could Israel live through this? It is too small already.”
I said, “God, my Master! Hold it—please! What’s going to come of Jacob? He’s so small.”
I said, “Lord God, please stop! How can Jacob stand? Look, he is so small!”
Then I said, “O Lord God, cease, I beg you! How can Jacob stand? He is so small!”
Then I said, “Stop, O Sovereign Lord! How can your people survive? They are so small and weak!”
And I said, Lord God, I beseech, rest thou; who shall raise Jacob, for he is little? (And I said, Lord God, I beseech thee, rest thou; for who shall raise up Jacob, for he is so small?/for they be so weak?)
Then I said, “Won't you please stop? How can our weak nation survive?”
Then I said, “O Lord God, cease, I beseech thee! How can Jacob stand? He is so small!”
Then I said, “O Lord God, cease, I beg you! How can Jacob stand? He is so small!”
Then I said, ‘O Lord God, cease, I beg you! How can Jacob stand? He is so small!’
Then I said, “Lord God, I beg you, stop! How can Jacob survive? He is so small!”
Then I said, “O Lord God, please stop! How can Jacob stand, For he is so small [that he cannot endure this]?”
Then I said, “O Lord God, please cease! How can Jacob stand? He is so small!”
Then I said: Cease, O Lord God! Who will raise up Jacob? He is so small!
Then I said, “Lord God, please stop! How can Jacob stand? For he is small.”
Then I cried out, “Lord God, stop! How could ·Israel [L Jacob] ·live through this [L stand]? It is too small already.”
But I said: “My Lord Adonai, stop, please! How can Jacob stand, for he is small?”
Then I said, “O Lord God, cease, I beseech thee! How can Jacob stand? He is so small!”
Then I cried out, “Lord and King, please stop! How can Jacob’s people continue? They are such a weak nation!”
Then said I, O Lord God, cease, I beseech thee: by whom shall Jacob arise? for he is small.
But I said, “Adonai Elohim, stop — please! How will tiny Ya‘akov survive?”
Then I said, ‘O Lord God, cease, I beg you! How can Jacob stand? He is so small!’
Then said I, O Adonoi Hashem, cease, I beseech thee; how shall Ya’akov survive? For he is katon.
Then I said, “Adonay Yahweh, please stop! How can the descendants of Jacob survive? There are so few of them.”
I said, “O Lord God, please stop. How can Jacob survive? For he is small.”
But I said, “Lord God, stop, I beg you! Jacob cannot survive! He is too small!”
Then I cried out, “Lord God, stop, I beg you! No one in Israel could live through this. Israel is too small already.”
Then I said, “O Lord Yahweh, please stop! How can Jacob stand, because he is small?”
Then I cried out, ‘Sovereign Lord, I beg you, stop! How can Jacob survive? He is so small!’
