The king answered and said, I know of certainty that you would gain the time, because you see the thing is gone from me.

The king responded, "I'm convinced that you're stalling for time because you're aware of what I've commanded.

The king replied, "I know for sure that you are attempting to gain time, because you see that my decision is firm.

The king replied, "I know for certain that you are bargaining for time, inasmuch as you have seen that the command from me is firm,

Then the king answered, "I am certain that you are trying to gain time, because you realize that this is what I have firmly decided:

The king replied, "I know what you are doing! You're stalling for time because you know I am serious when I say,

The king answered and said, I know of certainty that ye would gain the time, because ye see the thing is gone from me.

The king said to them, ‘You know that I will not change my mind. So you are just trying to get more time.

The king hath answered and said, `Of a truth I know that time ye are gaining, because that ye have seen that the thing is gone from me,

The king said, “I am sure that you are trying to get more time, because you see that my word is sure.

Nebuchadnezzar: It’s obvious to me that you are just buying time, hoping to figure a way out of this, because you can plainly see I will do as I’ve said.

The king retorted, “I can see your trick! You’re trying to stall for time until the calamity befalls me that the dream foretells. But if you don’t tell me the dream, you certainly can’t expect me to believe your interpretation!”

But the king responded, “It is clear to me that you are stalling for time, since you know what I have already resolved to do.

The king answered and said, “I know for certain that you are buying time, inasmuch as you have seen that the word from me is firm,

The king answered and said, I know of certainty that ye would gain time because ye see the thing is gone from my memory.

The king replied, “I know for certain you are trying to gain some time, because you see that my word is final.

The king answered, I know with certainty that you are trying to gain time, because you see the thing is gone from me and because you see that my word [against you] is sure:

King Nebuchadnezzar answered, “I know you are trying to get more time, because you know that I meant what I said.

But the king said, “I know what you’re up to—you’re just playing for time. You know you’re cornered. You know that if you can’t tell me my dream, you’re out and out doomed. I see right through you—you’re going to slap together some fancy stories and confuse the issue until I change my mind. No way! First tell me the dream, then I’ll know that you’re on the up and up with the interpretation and not just blowing smoke in my eyes.”

The king answered, “Now I know for sure that you are buying time because you see that my decision is final.

The king answered, “I know with certainty that you are trying to gain time, because you see I have firmly decreed:

At that, the king exclaimed, “Just as I thought! You are trying to gain time, because you see that I have made up my mind

The king answered, and said, Certainly I know, that ye again-buy the time, and know that the word is gone away from me. (And the king answered, Certainly I see, that ye be trying to gain time, for ye know that the dream hath gone away from me/because ye know that this is what I have decided.)

The king replied, “You're just stalling for time,

The king answered, “I know with certainty that you are trying to gain time, because you see that the word from me is sure

The king answered, “I know with certainty that you are trying to gain time because you see the decree from me is firm:
