“Then make a lid of pure gold for the Ark; this is the mercy seat. Make it forty-five inches long and twenty-seven inches wide.
“Now make a lid of pure gold for the Chest, an Atonement-Cover, three and three-quarters feet long and two and one-quarter feet wide.
Make an atonement seat of pure gold, forty-five inches long and twenty-seven inches wide.

And thou shalt make a propitiatory of cleanest gold; that is, a table covering the ark [that is, a place of purchasing mercy]; the length thereof shall hold two cubits and an half, [and] the breadth shall hold one cubit and an half. (And thou shalt make the mercy seat, that is, a lid to cover the Ark, out of pure gold; its length shall be two and a half cubits, and its breadth shall be one and a half cubits.)

“Then you are to make an atonement cover of pure gold, two and a half cubits long, one cubit and a half wide.
Then you shall make a mercy seat of pure gold; two cubits and a half shall be its length, and a cubit and a half its breadth.
“Make its cover out of pure gold. The cover is the place where sin will be paid for. Make it three feet nine inches long and two feet three inches wide.
And thou shalt make a mercy seat of pure gold: two cubits and a half shall be the length thereof, and a cubit and a half the breadth thereof.
(ii) “You are to make a cover for the ark out of pure gold; it is to be three-and-three-quarters feet long and two-and-a-quarter feet high.
Then you shall make a mercy-seat of pure gold; two cubits and a half shall be its length, and a cubit and a half its width.
And thou shalt make a kapporet of zahav tahor; two cubits and a half shall be the length thereof, and a cubit and a half the width thereof.
“Make a throne of mercy to cover the ark out of pure gold 45 inches long and 27 inches wide.
You shall make a mercy seat of pure gold, two and a half cubits long and one and a half cubits wide.
Then make a lid, the mercy-cover. Make it from pure gold. Make it 2 1/2 cubits long and 1 1/2 cubits wide.
“Then make a lid of pure gold for the Ark of the Covenant. This lid is the mercy seat. Make it 45 inches long and 27 inches wide.
“And you will make an atonement cover of pure gold, two and a half cubits its length and a cubit and a half its width.
