probans quoque quod non libenter aspiceret filias Chanaan pater suus
And Esau seeing that the daughters of Canaan pleased not Isaac his father;
And Esau seeing that the daughters of Canaan pleased not Isaac his father;
And Esau seeing that the daughters of Canaan pleased not Isaac his father;
and Esau seeing that the daughters of Canaan pleased not Isaac his father;
Also Esau saw that the daughters of Canaan did not please his father Isaac.
and Esau seeing that the daughters of Canaan pleased not Isaac his father—
And Esau saw that the daughters of Canaan pleased not Isaac his father.
And Esau saw that the daughters of Canaan were evil in the sight of Isaac his father.
Experiencing also that his father was not well pleased with the daughters of Chanaan:
and Esau saw that the daughters of Canaan pleased not Isaac his father;
So when Esau saw that the Canaanite women did not please Isaac his father,
Esau realized that his father Isaac disapproved of Canaanite women.
Esau realized that his father Isaac disapproved of the Canaanite women,
Esau realized that Canaan women didn't please his father Isaac,
Then Esau realized that the Canaanite women were displeasing to his father Isaac.
So Esau saw that the daughters of Canaan displeased his father Isaac;
Esau then realized how displeasing the Canaanite women were to his father Isaac;
It was now very clear to Esau that his father did not like the local Canaanite women.
And Esau seeing that the daughters of Canaan pleased not Isaac his father;
Esau saw that the daughters of Canaan didn't please Isaac, his father.
So Esau then understood that his father, Isaac, did not like the Canaanite women.
and Esau seeth that the daughters of Canaan are evil in the eyes of Isaac his father,
Esau knew that the daughters of Canaan did not please his father Isaac.
So, realizing his father did not like his Canaanite wives,
Esau realized that his father despised the local girls, and that his father and mother had sent Jacob to Paddan-aram, with his father’s blessing, to get a wife from there, and that they had strictly warned him against marrying a Canaanite girl, and that Jacob had agreed and had left for Paddan-aram.
Esau then understood that Isaac disapproved of the daughters of Canaan.
So Esau saw that the daughters of Canaan were displeasing in the sight of his father Isaac;
and Esau, seeing that the daughters of Canaan did not please Isaac his father,
Esau realized that his father Isaac disapproved of the Canaanite women,
Also Esau saw that the daughters of Canaan did not please Isaac his father.
So Esau saw that his father Isaac did not want his sons to marry Canaanite women.
Esau learned that Isaac had blessed Jacob and sent him to Paddan Aram to get a wife there, and while blessing him commanded, “Don’t marry a Canaanite woman,” and that Jacob had obeyed his parents and gone to Paddan Aram. When Esau realized how deeply his father Isaac disliked the Canaanite women, he went to Ishmael and married Mahalath the sister of Nebaioth and daughter of Ishmael, Abraham’s son. This was in addition to the wives he already had. * * *
Esau realized that the daughters of Canaan did not please Isaac, his father.
So when Esau saw that the Canaanite women did not please his father Isaac,
Esau then understood that his father Isaac did not approve of Canaanite women.
also Esau proved thereby that his father beheld not gladly the daughters of Canaan. (and so Esau understood by this that his father did not approve of the daughters of Canaan.)
Esau already had several wives, but he now realized how much his father hated the Canaanite women.
So when Esau saw that the Canaanite women did not please Isaac his father,
So when Esau saw that the Canaanite women did not please his father Isaac,
So when Esau saw that the Canaanite women did not please his father Isaac,
Esau realized that his father Isaac considered Canaanite women unacceptable.
So Esau realized that [his two wives] the daughters of Canaan displeased Isaac his father;
So when Esau saw that the Canaanite women did not please Isaac his father,
Esau realized how displeasing the Canaanite women were to his father Isaac,
So Esau saw that the daughters of Canaan displeased his father Isaac;
So Esau saw that ·his father Isaac did not want his sons to marry Canaanite women [C the daughters of Canaan were bad/evil in the eyes of his father Isaac].
Then Esau saw that the daughters of Canaan were contemptible in his father Isaac’s eyes.
So when Esau saw that the Canaanite women did not please Isaac his father,
Then Esau realized how much his father Isaac disliked Canaanite women.
And Esau seeing that the daughters of Canaan pleased not Isaac his father;
‘Esav also saw that the Kena‘ani women did not please Yitz’chak his father.
So when Esau saw that the Canaanite women did not please his father Isaac,
And Esav seeing that the Banot Kena’an pleased not Yitzchak his av;
Esau realized that his father Isaac disapproved of Canaanite women.
Esau saw that the daughters of Canaan did not please Isaac his father.
Esau saw from this that his father did not want his sons to marry Canaanite women.
So Esau saw that his father Isaac did not want his sons to marry Canaanite women.
Then Esau saw that the daughters of Canaan were evil in the eyes of Isaac his father,
Esau then realised how displeasing the Canaanite women were to his father Isaac;
