Then he asked them about their welfare, and said, "Is your old father well, of whom you spoke? Is he still alive?"

This time he greeted them warmly. Joseph: Is your father well, the old man of whom you spoke? Is he still alive?
He asked how they had been getting along. “And how is your father—the old man you spoke about? Is he still alive?”
He asked them how they were and said, “How is your aged father, the one about whom you have spoken? Is he still alive?”
And he asked them about their well-being and said, “Is your old father well, of whom you spoke? Is he still alive?”
And he asked them of their welfare and said, Is your father well, the old man of whom ye spoke? Is he yet alive?

He asked about their health and then said, “You told me about your old father—how is he? Is he still alive and well?”
And he greeted them again meekly; and he asked them, and said, Whether your father, the eld man, is safe, of whom ye said to me? liveth he yet? (And he meekly greeted them; and he asked them, and said, Is your father well, the old man of whom ye spoke to me? yet he liveth?)
After Joseph had asked how they were, he said, “What about your elderly father? Is he still alive?”
