Jacob’s sons did as he had told them.

So Jacob’s sons carried out his last instructions as he had directed.

So his sons did as Israel commanded them, and carried his body into the land of Canaan and buried it there in the cave of Mach-pelah—the cave Abraham had bought in the field of Ephron the Hethite, close to Mamre.

Jacob’s sons did what he had commanded them to do for him.

Thus his sons did for him as he had commanded them.

And his sons did unto him according as he commanded them;

So Jacob’s sons did for him what he had commanded them.

Jacob’s sons continued to carry out his instructions to the letter. They took him on into Canaan and buried him in the cave in the field of Machpelah facing Mamre, the field that Abraham had bought as a burial plot from Ephron the Hittite. * * *
