I’ll go back to My lair and stay there until they admit their guilt and come looking for Me. In their distress, they’ll desperately try to find Me.
“I will abandon them and return to my home until they admit their guilt and look to me for help again, for as soon as trouble comes, they will search for me and say:
I shall go back to my dwelling place until they acknowledge their guilt and seek my presence. In their affliction, they will beseech my favor.

“I’m a grizzly charging Ephraim, a grizzly with cubs charging Judah. I’ll rip them to pieces—yes, I will! No one can stop me now. I’ll drag them off. No one can help them. Then I’ll go back to where I came from until they come to their senses. When they finally hit rock bottom, maybe they’ll come looking for me.”
I will go. I will return to my place until they admit their guilt and seek my face. In their distress they will earnestly seek me.
I will return again to my place until they acknowledge their guilt and seek my face. In their distress they will beg my favor:
“I will abandon my people until they have suffered enough for their sins and come looking for me. Perhaps in their suffering they will try to find me.”
I shall go, and turn again to my place, till ye fail, and seek my face. In their tribulation they shall rise early to me. (I shall go, and return to my place, until they fail, or suffer enough, and then seek my face. In their tribulation, they shall rise early in the morning to seek me.)
Then I'll return to my temple until they confess their guilt and worship me, until they are desperate and beg for my help.

I will go back to my place until they make reparation and seek my presence. In their affliction, they shall look for me.

I will again return to My place until they acknowledge their offense and seek My face. In their affliction they will earnestly seek Me.
I will go back to my place, until the people admit they are guilty, until they come looking for me. Yes, in their trouble they will try very hard to find me.”
Then I will go back to my place until the people admit they are guilty. At that time they must look for me. In their trouble they must turn to me.”
I will return again to my place until they acknowledge their guilt and seek my face; in their distress they will search me.
Then I will return to my lair until they have borne their guilt and seek my face – in their misery they will earnestly seek me.’
