‘They all cheat other people to get what they want. Important people and ordinary people do that. Prophets and priests do that. They love to deceive people.

For from their least unto their greatest, Every one is gaining dishonest gain, And from prophet even unto priest, Every one is dealing falsely,

“For from the least to the greatest of them, every one is always wanting something. And from the man of God to the religious leader, every one lies to get what he wants.

Greed has corrupted this culture, from the least to the greatest: all are tainted with this lust for what they don’t deserve. The prophets and priests are no better. Their lives reek with deceit.

They are swindlers and liars, from the least of them right to the top! Yes, even my prophets and priests!

For from the least to the greatest, all are greedy for gain. All of them practice fraud, prophets and priests alike.

“For from the least of them even to the greatest of them, Everyone is greedy for gain, And from the prophet even to the priest Everyone practices lying.

For from the least of them even unto the greatest of them each one is given to greed; and from the prophet even unto the priest every one deals falsely.

No, they have no shame. They don’t even know how to blush. There’s no hope for them. They’ve hit bottom and there’s no getting up. As far as I’m concerned, they’re finished.” God has spoken.

From the least of them to the greatest, all of them are greedy for gain. From prophets to priests, they all practice deceit.

For from the least to the greatest of them, everyone is greedy for unjust gain; and from prophet to priest, everyone deals falsely.

Everyone, great and small, tries to make money dishonestly; even prophets and priests cheat the people.

For from the less unto the greater, all study to avarice; and all do guile, from the prophet unto the priest. (For from the least unto the greatest, all work hard to do avarice, or to fulfill their greed; and all be deceitful, from the prophet unto the priest.)

Everyone is greedy and dishonest, whether poor or rich. Even the prophets and priests cannot be trusted.

Everyone wants to get richer and richer, from the least important of them to the most important. Prophets and priests alike try to fool everyone they can.
