"Shouldn't someone answer this torrent of words? Is a person proved innocent just by a lot of talking?

‘Someone must answer all these words that you have spoken. You have talked a lot, but that does not mean that you are right.
Is a multitude of words not answered? And is a man of lips justified?

Zophar: Shall such a great volume of words remain unanswered and a long-winded man be so easily acquitted?
“Shouldn’t someone stem this torrent of words? Is a man proved right by all this talk?
“Should we allow this torrent of words to go unanswered? Is a clever speaker always to be considered right?
“Shall a multitude of words go unanswered, And a man of lips be in the right?
Should not the multitude of words be answered? And should a man full of talk be justified?
Should this abundance of words go unanswered and such a talker be acquitted?
Should not the multitude of words be answered? And should a man full of talk [and making such great professions] be pronounced free from guilt or blame?
“Should these words go unanswered? Is this talker in the right?
Now it was the turn of Zophar from Naamath: “What a flood of words! Shouldn’t we put a stop to it? Should this kind of loose talk be permitted? Job, do you think you can carry on like this and we’ll say nothing? That we’ll let you rail and mock and not step in? You claim, ‘My doctrine is sound and my conduct impeccable.’ How I wish God would give you a piece of his mind, tell you what’s what! I wish he’d show you how wisdom looks from the inside, for true wisdom is mostly ‘inside.’ But you can be sure of this, you haven’t gotten half of what you deserve.
Doesn’t this gush of words call for an answer? Can this man’s bold talk be justified?

Will no one answer all this nonsense? Does talking so much put you in the right?
Whether he, that speaketh many things, shall not also hear? either a man full of words shall be made just? (Shall he, who saith many things, not also listen? or is a man so full of words always right, or correct?)
So much foolish talk cannot go unanswered.

“Don’t all your words require an answer? I’m sure that what you are saying can’t be right.
