si levavi super pupillum manum meam etiam cum viderem me in porta superiorem
If I have lifted up my hand against the fatherless, when I saw my help in the gate:
If I have lifted up my hand against the fatherless, when I saw I had help in the gate:
If I have lifted up my hand against the fatherless, when I saw my help in the gate:
if I have lifted up my hand against the fatherless, when I saw my help in the gate:
If I have raised my hand against the fatherless, When I saw I had help in the gate;
if I have lifted up my hand against the fatherless, when I saw my help in the gate”
If I have lifted up my hand against the fatherless, Because I saw my help in the gate:
If I have lifted up my hand against an orphan, because I saw my help in the gate:
If I have lifted up my hand against the fatherless, even when I saw myself superior in the gate:
If I have lifted up my hand against the fatherless, because I saw my help in the gate:
if I have raised my hand against the fatherless, because I saw my help in the gate,
If I have shaken my fist at an orphan because I knew that others would back me up in court,
if I ever cast my vote against a fatherless child when I saw that I had support in the city gate,
if I've raised my hand against an orphan when I thought I would against him in court,
if I have raised my hand to vote against the orphan, when I saw my support in the court,
If I have lifted up my hand against the orphan, Because I saw I had support in the gate,
if I have raised my hand against the fatherless, knowing that I had influence in court,
"If I raised my hand against an orphan, knowing the judges would take my side,
If I have lifted up my hand against the fatherless, when I saw my help in the gate:
if I have lifted up my hand against the fatherless, because I saw my help in the gate,
I have not turned against children who have no family, even when the city judges agreed with me.
If I have waved at the fatherless my hand, When I see in [him] the gate of my court,
if I have not done these things, or if I have lifted up my hand against the child who has no parents, because I saw I had help in the gate,
If I ever used my civic strength to condemn the fatherless simply because I knew I had allies in the courts;
or if I have taken advantage of an orphan because I thought I could get away with it—
Have I ever raised my hand against the innocent, knowing that my friends would support me?
If I have waved my hand against the orphan Because I saw my help in the gate,
if I have lifted up my hand against the fatherless, even when I saw that they would all help me in the gate;
if I ever cast my vote against a fatherless child when I saw that I had support in the city gate,
If I have lifted my hand against the fatherless when I saw [that the judges would be favorable and be] my help at the [council] gate,
I have never hurt an orphan even when I knew I could win in court.
“If I’ve ever used my strength and influence to take advantage of the unfortunate, Go ahead, break both my arms, cut off all my fingers! The fear of God has kept me from these things— how else could I ever face him?
If I raised my hand against the fatherless child, because I had influence in the court at the city gate,
if I have raised my hand against the orphan, because I saw I had supporters at the gate;
If I have ever cheated an orphan, knowing I could win in court,
if I raised up mine hand upon a fatherless child, yea, when I saw me the higher (one) in the gate; (if I raised my hand against a fatherless child, when I knew that the higher men would overlook it;)
If I have ever raised my arm to threaten an orphan when the power was mine,
if I have raised my hand against the fatherless, because I saw help in the gate;
if I have raised my hand against the orphan because I saw I had supporters at the gate;
if I have raised my hand against the orphan, because I saw I had supporters at the gate;
if I have lifted my hand against the orphans, when I saw that I had help in the city gate—
If I have lifted my hand against the orphan, Because I saw [that the judges would be] my help at the [council] gate,
if I have raised my hand against the fatherless, because I saw my help in the gate,
If I have raised my hand against the innocent because I saw that I had supporters at the gate—
If I have lifted up my hand against the orphan, Because I saw I had support in the gate,
I have never ·hurt [L raised my hand threateningly against] an orphan even when I knew I ·could win in court [L had allies in the gate; C the city gate was where court was held].
if I have raised my hand against the orphan, when I saw my support in the gate,
if I have raised my hand against the fatherless, because I saw help in the gate;
Suppose I’ve raised my hand against children whose fathers have died. And I did it because I knew I had power in the courts.
If I have lifted up my hand against the fatherless, when I saw my help in the gate:
or if I lifted my hand against an orphan, knowing that no one would dare charge me in court;
if I have raised my hand against the orphan, because I saw I had supporters at the gate;
If I have lifted up my yad against the yatom, when I saw my influence in the sha’ar (gate, court);
If I have shaken my fist at an orphan because I knew that others would back me up in court,
if I have lifted up my hand against the fatherless, when I saw I had help in the gate;
I never threatened an orphan, even when I knew I had support in court.
I have never hurt an orphan even when I knew I could win in court.
if I have raised my hand against an orphan because I saw my supporters at the gate,
if I have raised my hand against the fatherless, knowing that I had influence in court,
