dixisti enim non tibi placet quod rectum est vel quid tibi proderit si ego peccavero
For you said, What advantage will it be to you? and, What profit shall I have, if I be cleansed from my sin?
For you said, What advantage will it be unto you? and, What profit shall I have, if I be cleansed from my sin?
For thou saidst, What advantage will it be unto thee? and, What profit shall I have, if I be cleansed from my sin?
For thou saidst, What advantage will it be unto thee? and, What profit shall I have, if I be cleansed from my sin?
For you say, ‘What advantage will it be to You? What profit shall I have, more than if I had sinned?’
For thou saidst, ‘What advantage will it be unto Thee?’ and, ‘What profit shall I have if I be cleansed from my sin?’
That thou sayest, What advantage will it be unto thee? And , What profit shall I have, more than if I had sinned?
For thou hast asked of what profit it is unto thee: what do I gain more than if I had sinned?
For thou saidst : That which is right doth not please thee : or what will it profit thee if I sin?
That thou sayest, What advantage will it be unto thee? and, What profit shall I have, more than if I had sinned?
that you ask, ‘What advantage have I? How am I better off than if I had sinned?’
when you ask, 'What benefit is it to you?' and, 'What would I gain by sinning?'
For you ask, "What does it profit You, and what benefit comes to me, if I do not sin?"
After all, you've asked what your benefit will be: 'What will I profit from refraining from sin?'
But you say, 'What will it profit you,' and, 'What do I gain by not sinning?'
"For you say, 'What advantage will it be to You? What profit will I have, more than if I had sinned?'
Yet you ask him, 'What profit is it to me, and what do I gain by not sinning?'
For you also ask, 'What's in it for me? What's the use of living a righteous life?'
For thou saidst, What advantage will it be to thee? and, What profit shall I have, if I be cleansed from my sin?
That you ask, 'What advantage will it be to you? What profit shall I have, more than if I had sinned?'
But you also say, “If I do nothing wrong, God does not bless me. No good thing comes to me.”
For thou sayest, `What doth it profit Thee! What do I profit from my sin?'
For you ask, ‘What will You get by it? How will it be better for me than if I had sinned?’
For you say something like, “What good does it do You if I do right? What is in it for me if I don’t sin?”
“Do you think it is right for you to claim, ‘I haven’t sinned, but I’m no better off before God than if I had’?
For you said: ‘What does it mean to you? Or what would you gain if I sinned?’
For you say, ‘What use will it be to You? What profit will I have, more than if I had sinned?’
For thou didst say, What advantage will it be unto thee? And, What profit shall I have, if I am cleansed from my sin?
For you ask, “What does it profit you, and what benefit comes to me, if I do not sin?”
That you ask, What advantage have you? How am I profited more than if I had sinned?
but you also ask, ‘What’s the use? I don’t gain anything by not sinning.’
Elihu lit into Job again: “Does this kind of thing make any sense? First you say, ‘I’m perfectly innocent before God.’ And then you say, ‘It doesn’t make a bit of difference whether I’ve sinned or not.’
You even say, “What use will this be to me? How will it profit me more than if I sinned?”
If you ask, ‘What advantage have I? How am I better off than if I had sinned?’
or to ask God, “How does my sin affect you? What have I gained by not sinning?”
For thou saidest, That, that is good, pleaseth not thee; either what profiteth it to thee, if I do sin? (For thou hast said, What is good, pleaseth thee not; or what profiteth it to me, if I do not sin?)
Don't you honestly believe it pays to obey him?
that you ask, ‘What advantage have I? How am I better off than if I had sinned?’
If you ask, ‘What advantage have I? How am I better off than if I had sinned?’
If you ask, “What advantage have I? How am I better off than if I had sinned?”
Yet you ask, “What does it benefit you? What have I gained by avoiding sin?”
“For you say, ‘What advantage have you [by living a righteous life]? What profit will I have, more [by being righteous] than if I had sinned?’
that you ask, ‘What advantage have I? How am I better off than if I had sinned?’
When you ask what it profits you, “What advantage do I have from not sinning?”
For you say, ‘What advantage will it be to You? What benefit will I have, more than if I had sinned?’
but you also ask, ‘What’s the use? ·I don’t gain [L How have I gained…?] anything by not sinning.’
For you ask, ‘What will it profit you?’ and ‘What do I gain by not sinning?’
that you ask, ‘What advantage have I? How am I better off than if I had sinned?’
You ask him, ‘What good is it for me not to sin? What do I get by not sinning?’
For thou saidst, What advantage will it be unto thee? and, What profit shall I have, if I be cleansed from my sin?
For you ask what advantage it is to you, ‘How do I gain from not sinning?’
If you ask, “What advantage have I? How am I better off than if I had sinned?”
Ki (yet) thou saidst, What advantage will it be unto thee? and, What profit shall I have, more than if I had sinned [see 9:22]?
when you ask, ‘What benefit is it to you?’ and, ‘What would I gain by sinning?’
For you said, ‘What advantage will it be to me? What profit will I have if I am cleansed from my sin?’
because you also ask him, ‘What’s the use of trying to please you? What good will it do me if I don’t sin?’
But you say to him, ‘What good is it to me? I don’t gain anything by not sinning.’
If you ask what it profits you: ‘How do I benefit by refraining from my sin?’
Yet you ask him, “What profit is it to me, and what do I gain by not sinning?”
