"Can you give strength to a horse or dress its neck with a flowing mane?
Do you give strength to the horse? Do you adorn his neck with a mane?
Do you instill the horse with strength? Do you clothe its neck with a mane?
"Do you give the horse its strength? Do you clothe its neck with a mane?
"Do you give the horse his might? Do you clothe his neck with a mane?
"Do you give the horse its strength or clothe its neck with a flowing mane?
"Have you given the horse its strength or clothed its neck with a flowing mane?

Did you, Job, give horses their strength? Did you give them the long hair that they have on their necks?
Dost thou give to the horse might? Dost thou clothe his neck [with] a mane?
“Do you give the horse his strength? Do you dress his neck with long hair?
And oh, of course—now let us speak of the horse! Do you give that creature its power? Do you adorn its neck with that flowing mane?
“Have you given the horse strength or clothed his neck with a quivering mane?
“Do you give the horse its strength? Have you clothed its neck with a mane?
“Do you give the horse his might? Do you clothe his neck with a mane?

“Job, are you the one who gives the horse its strength or puts a flowing mane on its neck?
“Are you the one who gave the horse his prowess and adorned him with a shimmering mane? Did you create him to prance proudly and strike terror with his royal snorts? He paws the ground fiercely, eager and spirited, then charges into the fray. He laughs at danger, fearless, doesn’t shy away from the sword. The banging and clanging of quiver and lance don’t faze him. He quivers with excitement, and at the trumpet blast races off at a gallop. At the sound of the trumpet he neighs mightily, smelling the excitement of battle from a long way off, catching the rolling thunder of the war cries.

Was it you, Job, who made horses so strong and gave them their flowing manes?
Whether thou shalt give strength to an horse, either shalt give neighing about his neck? (Hast thou given strength to a horse, and hast thou clothed his neck with a mane?)
