What is man, that you should magnify him? and that you should set your heart on him?

What is man, that thou makest much of him? and that thou settest thy heart upon him?
What is a man that thou shouldst magnify him? or why dost thou set thy heart upon him?

What is man, that you make so much of him, and that you set your heart on him,
"What is a mortal that you should make so much of him, that you should be concerned about him?
What is man, that You think so highly of him and pay so much attention to him?
"What is a human being, that you make so much of him; that you set your affections on him,
"What is mankind that you make so much of them, and that you pay attention to them?
"What is man that You magnify him, And that You are concerned about him,
"What is mankind that you make so much of them, that you give them so much attention,
"What are people, that you should make so much of us, that you should think of us so often?
What is man, that thou shouldst magnify him? and that thou shouldst set thy heart upon him?
What is man, that you should magnify him, that you should set your mind on him,
Why do you think that people are important? Why do you watch us so carefully?
What [is] man that Thou dost magnify him? And that Thou settest unto him Thy heart?
What is man, that You make so much of him? Why do You care about him,
What are these human beings, that You make so much of them— that You shower them with attention?
What is mere man that you should spend your time persecuting him?
“What is man, that you make so much of him or pay him any mind?
What is man that You magnify him, And that You set Your heart on him,
What is man that thou should magnify him and that thou should set thine heart upon him
What is a mere human, that you think so highly of him and pay so much attention to him?
What is man that You should magnify him and think him important? And that You should set Your mind upon him?
“Why do you make people so important and give them so much attention?
“What are mortals anyway, that you bother with them, that you even give them the time of day? That you check up on them every morning, looking in on them to see how they’re doing? Let up on me, will you? Can’t you even let me spit in peace? Even suppose I’d sinned—how would that hurt you? You’re responsible for every human being. Don’t you have better things to do than pick on me? Why make a federal case out of me? Why don’t you just forgive my sins and start me off with a clean slate? The way things are going, I’ll soon be dead. You’ll look high and low, but I won’t be around.”
What is man that you make so much of him, that you pay so much attention to him,
What are human beings, that you make so much of them, that you set your mind on them,
Why are people so important to you? Why pay attention to what they do?
What is a man, for thou magnifiest him? either what settest thou thine heart toward him? (or why settest thou thy heart toward him?)
What makes you so concerned about us humans?
What is man, that thou dost make so much of him, and that thou dost set thy mind upon him,
What are humans, that you make so much of them, that you set your mind on them,
What are human beings, that you make so much of them, that you set your mind on them,
What are human beings, that you exalt them, that you take note of them,
“What is man that You [should] magnify him [and think him important]? And that You are concerned about him?
What is man, that you make so much of him, and that you set your heart on him,
What are human beings, that you make much of them, or pay them any heed?
What is man that You exalt him, And that You are concerned about him,
“Why do you make people so important and ·give them so much attention [L set your heart on them; C contrast Ps. 8:4]?
“What is mankind, that You magnify him, that You set Your heart on him,
What is man, that thou dost make so much of him, and that thou dost set thy mind upon him,
“What are human beings that you think so much of them? What are they that you pay so much attention to them?
What is man, that thou shouldest magnify him? and that thou shouldest set thine heart upon him?
“What are mere mortals, that you make so much of them? Why do you keep them on your mind?
What are human beings, that you make so much of them, that you set your mind on them,
What is enosh (man), that Thou shouldest make much of him? And that Thou shouldest set Thine lev upon him?

God, why are people so important to you? Why do you even notice them?
“Why do you make man so important? Why do you give him so much attention?
“What is a human being that you make him great and that you fix your mind on him,
