hesterni quippe sumus et ignoramus quoniam sicut umbra dies nostri sunt super terram
(For we are but of yesterday, and know nothing, because our days on earth are a shadow:)
(For we are but of yesterday, and know nothing, because our days upon earth are a shadow:)
(For we are but of yesterday, and know nothing, because our days upon earth are a shadow:)
(for we are but of yesterday, and know nothing, because our days upon earth are a shadow:)
For we were born yesterday, and know nothing, Because our days on earth are a shadow.
for we are but of yesterday and know nothing, because our days upon earth are a shadow.
(For we are but of yesterday, and know nothing, Because our days upon earth are a shadow);
For we are but of yesterday, and know nothing, for our days upon earth are a shadow.
(For we are but of yesterday, and are ignorant that our days upon earth are but a shadow:)
(For we are but of yesterday, and know nothing, because our days upon earth are a shadow:)
For we are but of yesterday and know nothing, for our days on earth are a shadow.
We have only been around since yesterday, and we know nothing. Our days on earth are only a fleeting shadow.
since we were born only yesterday and know nothing. Our days on earth are but a shadow.
Because we are of yesterday and we know nothing, for our time on earth is only a shadow.
For we were born yesterday and do not have knowledge, since our days on earth are but a shadow.
"For we are only of yesterday and know nothing, Because our days on earth are as a shadow.
for we were born only yesterday and know nothing, and our days on earth are but a shadow.
For we were born but yesterday and know nothing. Our days on earth are as fleeting as a shadow.
(For we are but of yesterday, and know nothing, because our days upon earth are a shadow:)
(For we are but of yesterday, and know nothing, because our days on earth are a shadow.)
We have not lived for very long, so we do not know very much. Our lives are like shadows that quickly disappear.
(For of yesterday we [are], and we know not, For a shadow [are] our days on earth.)
For we are only of yesterday and know nothing. Our days on earth are as a shadow.
For we are not of ages past, nor even of years gone by. We are ignorant creatures of yesterday, and our time on earth is only a shadow.
for we were born but yesterday and know so little; our days here on earth are as transient as shadows.
For we are only born yesterday and know nothing, since our days on earth are but a shadow.
For we are only of yesterday and know nothing, Because our days on earth are but a shadow.
for we are but of yesterday and know nothing because our days upon earth are as a shadow.
since we were born only yesterday and know nothing. Our days on earth are but a shadow.
For we are but of yesterday and know nothing, because our days upon earth are a shadow.
because we were only born yesterday and know nothing. Our days on earth are only a shadow.
“Put the question to our ancestors, study what they learned from their ancestors. For we’re newcomers at this, with a lot to learn, and not too long to learn it. So why not let the ancients teach you, tell you what’s what, instruct you in what they knew from experience? Can mighty pine trees grow tall without soil? Can luscious tomatoes flourish without water? Blossoming flowers look beautiful before they’re cut or picked, but without soil or water they wither more quickly than grass. That’s what happens to all who forget God— all their hopes come to nothing. They hang their life from one thin thread, they hitch their fate to a spider web. One jiggle and the thread breaks, one jab and the web collapses. Or they’re like weeds springing up in the sunshine, invading the garden, Spreading everywhere, overtaking the flowers, getting a foothold even in the rocks. But when the gardener rips them out by the roots, the garden doesn’t miss them one bit. The sooner the godless are gone, the better; then good plants can grow in their place.
because we were born only yesterday and know nothing. Our days on earth are nothing but a shadow.
for we are but of yesterday, and we know nothing, for our days on earth are but a shadow.
Our life is short, we know nothing at all; we pass like shadows across the earth.
For we be men of yesterday, and know not (anything); for our days be as (a) shadow on the earth.
Our own time has been short, like a fading shadow, and we know very little.
for we are but of yesterday, and know nothing, for our days on earth are a shadow.
for we are but of yesterday, and we know nothing, for our days on earth are but a shadow.
for we are but of yesterday, and we know nothing, for our days on earth are but a shadow.
for we are only recently here and don’t know because our days on earth are a shadow.
“For we are only of yesterday and know nothing, Because our days on earth are [like] a shadow [just a breath or a vapor].
For we are but of yesterday and know nothing, for our days on earth are a shadow.
As we are but of yesterday and have no knowledge, because our days on earth are but a shadow—
For we are only of yesterday and know nothing, Because our days on earth are as a shadow.
because we were only born yesterday and know nothing. Our days on earth are only a shadow.
for we were born yesterday and know nothing, and our days on earth are but a shadow.
for we are but of yesterday, and know nothing, for our days on earth are a shadow.
After all, we were born only yesterday. So we don’t know anything. Our days on this earth are like a shadow that disappears.
(For we are but of yesterday, and know nothing, because our days upon earth are a shadow:)
for we who were born yesterday know nothing, our days on earth are but a shadow.
for we are but of yesterday, and we know nothing, for our days on earth are but a shadow.
—For we are but of temol (yesterday, etmol) and know nothing, because yameinu (our days) upon earth are a tzel (shadow)—
We have only been around since yesterday, and we know nothing. Our days on earth are only a fleeting shadow.
for we were born but yesterday and know nothing, because our days on earth are a shadow.
It seems as though we were born yesterday. We are too young to know anything. Our days on earth are very short, like a shadow.
We were only born yesterday and know nothing. Our days on earth are like only a shadow.
for we are of yesterday, and we do not know, for our days on earth are a shadow.
for we were born only yesterday and know nothing, and our days on earth are but a shadow.
