Then he gave orders to the people: "March around the town, and the armed men will lead the way in front of the Ark of the LORD."

They said to the people, "Advance! March around the city, and let the armed men pass on before Yahweh's ark."

Then Joshua told the people to start marching round the city. A group of soldiers should march in front of the Lord's Covenant Box.

and He said unto the people, `Pass over, and compass the city, and he who is armed doth pass over before the ark of Jehovah.'

Then he said to the people, “Go and walk around the city. Let the men ready for battle go in front of the special box of the agreement.”

Then he gave orders to the people. Joshua: March around the city with the fighting men marching ahead of the chest of the Eternal.

So Joshua summoned the priests and gave them their instructions: the armed men would lead the procession, followed by seven priests blowing continually on their trumpets. Behind them would come the priests carrying the Ark, followed by a rear guard.

He gave the command to the people, “Advance! March around the city with the armed soldiers walking in front of the Ark of the Lord.”

Then he said to the people, “Go forward, and march around the city, and let the armed men go on before the ark of Yahweh.”

And he said unto the people, Pass on and compass the city and let those that are armed pass on before the ark of the LORD.

Then he told the people, “Set out! March around the city. Have the armed guard march before the Chest of God.”

Then he said to the people, “Move out. March around the city. The armed contingent shall march in front of the Ark of the Lord.”

To the people he said, “Go forward and march around the city; have the armed men pass on before the ark of the Lord.”

Then he ordered the people to start marching around the city, with an advance guard going on ahead of the Lord's Covenant Box.

Also Joshua said to the people, Go ye, and compass ye the city, and go ye armed before the ark of the Lord. (And Joshua said to the people, Go ye, and go ye around the city, and go ye armed before the Ark of the Lord.)

Next, he gave the army their orders: “March slowly around Jericho. A few of you will go ahead of the chest to guard it, but most of you will follow it. Don't shout the battle cry or yell or even talk until the day I tell you to. Then let out a shout!” As soon as Joshua finished giving the orders, the army started marching. One group of soldiers led the way, with seven priests marching behind them and blowing trumpets. Then came the priests carrying the chest, followed by the rest of the soldiers.

And he said to the people, “Go forward; march around the city, and let the armed men pass on before the ark of the Lord.”

To the people he said, “Go forward and march around the city; have the armed men pass on before the ark of the Lord.”

Then Joshua ordered the people, “Now go! March around the city. The soldiers with weapons should march in front of the Ark of the Covenant with the Lord.”

And he said to the people, “Go forward and march around the city, and let the armed men pass before the ark of Yahweh.
