O you that are named the house of Jacob, is the spirit of the LORD straitened? are these his doings? do not my words do good to him that walks uprightly?

Should the descendants of Jacob be asked: Has the Spirit of the LORD become impatient with you? Has he done these things? Are his words good for those who live honestly?

House of Jacob, should it be asked," Is the Spirit of the LORD impatient? Are these the things He does?" Don't My words bring good to the one who walks uprightly?

"It is said, house of Jacob, 'The Spirit of the LORD is limited, if he acts this way, is he not?' "But my words benefit those who live righteously, do they not?

Does the family of Jacob say, 'The LORD's patience can't be exhausted--he would never do such things'? To be sure, my commands bring a reward for those who obey them,

"Is it being said, O house of Jacob: 'Is the Spirit of the LORD impatient? Are these His doings?' Do not My words do good To the one walking uprightly?

You descendants of Jacob, should it be said, "Does the LORD become impatient? Does he do such things?" "Do not my words do good to the one whose ways are upright?

Should you talk that way, O family of Israel? Will the LORD's Spirit have patience with such behavior? If you would do what is right, you would find my words comforting.

O thou that art named the house of Jacob, is the spirit of the LORD straitened? are these his doings? do not my words do good to him that walketh uprightly?

Shall it be said, O house of Jacob: "Is the Spirit of Yahweh angry? Are these his doings? Don't my words do good to him who walks blamelessly?"

You should not talk like that, you who are descendants of Jacob. Do you think that the Lord's Spirit will always be patient with you? If you agree to do what is right, then you will accept that my message is good.

Doth the house of Jacob say, `Hath the Spirit of Jehovah been shortened? Are these His doings?' Do not My words benefit the people that is walking uprightly?

Should it be said, O people of Jacob: “Is the Spirit of the Lord angry? Would He do such things? Do not My Words do good to the one whose way is right and good?

Should it be said to the people of Jacob, “Has the Spirit of Eternal lost His patience with us? Is this how He works?” Eternal One: When I speak, don’t good things happen to the ones who uprightly follow My fair path?

Is that the right reply for you to make, O House of Jacob? Do you think the Spirit of the Lord likes to talk to you so roughly? No! His threats are for your good, to get you on the path again.

O house of Jacob, should it be said: “Has the Lord’s patience been exhausted? Does he do such things? His words only prophesy good to those who are upright.”

Is it being said, O house of Jacob: ‘Is the Spirit of Yahweh impatient? Are these His deeds?’ Do not My words do good To the one walking uprightly?

O thou that calls thyself the house of Jacob, is the spirit of the LORD shortened? are these his doings? do not my words do good to him that walks uprightly?

House of Jacob, should it be asked, “Is the Spirit of the Lord impatient? Are these the things he does?” Don’t my words bring good to the one who walks uprightly?

O house of Jacob, shall it be said, Is the Spirit of the Lord restricted, impatient, and shortened? Or are these [prophesied plagues] His doings? Do not My words do good to him who walks uprightly?

But I must say this, people of Jacob: The Lord is becoming angry about what you have done. My words are welcome to the person who does what is right.

“Don’t preach,” say the preachers. “Don’t preach such stuff. Nothing bad will happen to us. Talk like this to the family of Jacob? Does God lose his temper? Is this the way he acts? Isn’t he on the side of good people? Doesn’t he help those who help themselves?” * * *

Should the house of Jacob say, “Is the Spirit of the Lord impatient? Would he really do these things?” Will my words fail to accomplish good things for people who walk uprightly?

Should this be said, O house of Jacob? Is the Lord’s patience exhausted? Are these his doings? Do not my words do good to one who walks uprightly?

Do you think the people of Israel are under a curse? Has the Lord lost his patience? Would he really do such things? Doesn't he speak kindly to those who do right?”

saith the house of Jacob. Whether the Spirit of the Lord is abridged, either such be the thoughts of him? Whether my words be not good, with him that goeth rightly? (O house of Jacob, is the Spirit of the Lord abridged, that is, is his patience at an end, or do such things be his thoughts? Be my words not good, to him who goeth uprightly?)

Descendants of Jacob, is it right for you to claim that the Lord did what he did because he was angry? Doesn't he always bless those who do right?

Should this be said, O house of Jacob? Is the Spirit of the Lord impatient? Are these his doings? Do not my words do good to him who walks uprightly?

Is it being said, house of Jacob: ‘Is the Spirit of the Lord impatient? Are these His works?’ Do My words not do good For the one walking rightly?

But I must say this, ·people [L house] of Jacob: ·The Lord is becoming angry [or Does not the Lord grow impatient…?] about what you have done. ·My words are welcome [or Are not my words good…?] to the person who ·does what is right [L walks uprightly].

Is it said, “O house of Jacob, is the Ruach Adonai short of patience? Are these His deeds?” “Do not My words deal well with one who walks uprightly?”

Should this be said, O house of Jacob? Is the Spirit of the Lord impatient? Are these his doings? Do not my words do good to him who walks uprightly?

People of Jacob, should anyone say, “The Lord is patient, so he wouldn’t do things like that”? The Lord replies, “What I promise brings good things to those who lead honest lives.

is this what the house of Ya‘akov says? Adonai has not grown impatient, and these things are not his doings. “Rather, my words do only good to anyone living uprightly.

O thou that art named Bais Yaakov, is the Ruach [Hakodesh] of Hashem angry? Are these His doings? Do not My words do good to him that walketh uprightly?

Should the descendants of Jacob be asked: Has the Ruach Yahweh become impatient with you? Has he done these things? Are his words good for those who live honestly?

Should it be said, O house of Jacob, “Is the Spirit of the Lord impatient? Are these His deeds?” Do not My words benefit him who walks uprightly?

But people of Jacob, I must say these things. The Lord is losing his patience because of the bad things you did. If you lived right, I could say nice words to you.

But I must say this, people of Jacob. The Lord is becoming angry about what you have done. If you lived right, I could say nice words to you.

Should this be said, O house of Jacob? Is the patience of Yahweh shortened? Are these his deeds? Are my words not pleasing to him who walks upright?

You descendants of Jacob, should it be said, ‘Does the Lord become impatient? Does he do such things?’ ‘Do not my words do good to the one whose ways are upright?
