because certain of them kept claiming, "Since we have so many sons and daughters, we must get some grain so we can eat and survive."
There were those who said, "With our sons and daughters, we are many. We must obtain grain in order to eat and stay alive."
For there were those who said, "We, our sons and our daughters are many; therefore let us get grain that we may eat and live."
Some were saying, "We and our sons and daughters are numerous; in order for us to eat and stay alive, we must get grain."
They were saying, "We have such large families. We need more food to survive."
For there were that said, We, our sons, and our daughters, are many: therefore we take up corn for them, that we may eat, and live.
For there were that said, "We, our sons and our daughters, are many. Let us get grain, that we may eat and live."
Many of them said, ‘We are big families, with many sons and daughters. We need to have food to eat so that we can stay alive.’
yea, there are who are saying, `Our sons, and our daughters, we -- are many, and we receive corn, and eat, and live.'
For some said, “We, our sons and our daughters are many. Let us get grain, that we may eat and live.”
Jews Without Land: Our families are large, and we need food so that along with our children, we will not starve. Let us have grain!
What was happening was that families who ran out of money for food had to sell their children or mortgage their fields, vineyards, and homes to these rich men; and some couldn’t even do that, for they already had borrowed to the limit to pay their taxes.
Some were vehement in their complaints that they were forced to pledge their sons and daughters in order to obtain grain so that they might eat and stay alive.
Now there were those who were saying, “We, with our sons and our daughters, are many; therefore let us get grain that we may eat and live.”
For there were some that said, We, our sons, and our daughters, are many; therefore we have bought grain that we may eat and live.
Some were saying, “We, our sons, and our daughters are numerous. Let us get grain so that we can eat and live.”
For some said, We, our sons and daughters, are many; therefore allow us to take grain, that we may eat and live! If we are not given grain, let us take it!
Some of them were saying, “We have many sons and daughters in our families. To eat and stay alive, we need grain.”
A great protest was mounted by the people, including the wives, against their fellow Jews. Some said, “We have big families, and we need food just to survive.”
There were those who were saying, “We and our sons and our daughters are many! We need to acquire grain so that we can eat and stay alive.”
For there were those who said, “With our sons and our daughters, we are many; we must get grain, so that we may eat and stay alive.”
Some said, “We have large families, we need grain to keep us alive.”
And there were (those) that said, Our sons and our daughters be full many; take we wheat for the price of them, and eat we, and live. (And there were those who said, We have sold our sons and our daughters for corn, or for grain, so that we could eat, and stay alive.)
and said, “We have large families, and it takes a lot of grain merely to keep us alive.”
For there were those who said, “With our sons and our daughters, we are many; let us get grain, that we may eat and keep alive.”
For there were those who said, “With our sons and our daughters, we are many; we must get grain, so that we may eat and stay alive.”
For there were those who said, ‘With our sons and our daughters, we are many; we must get grain, so that we may eat and stay alive.’
Some said, “With our sons and daughters we are many, and we all need grain to eat and stay alive.”

Some said: “We are forced to pawn our sons and daughters in order to get grain to eat that we may live.”
For there were those who said, “We, our sons, and our daughters are many; therefore let’s get grain so that we may eat and live.”
Some of them were saying, “We have many sons and daughters in our families. To eat and stay alive, we need grain [C This group may have owned no land that could provide them food.].”
There were those who said, “We and our sons and our daughters are numerous. We must take grain, so we may eat and live.”
For there were those who said, “With our sons and our daughters, we are many; let us get grain, that we may eat and keep alive.”
Some of them were saying, “There are now many of us. We have many sons and daughters. We have to get some grain so we can eat and stay alive.”
For there were that said, We, our sons, and our daughters, are many: therefore we take up corn for them, that we may eat, and live.
Some of them said, “Counting our sons and daughters, there are a lot of us! Allow us to get grain for them, so that we can eat and stay alive.”

Some of them said, “We have large families! We need some grain if we are going to eat and stay alive.”
Some were saying, “We and our sons and our daughters are many. Therefore, let us acquire grain so that we may eat and live.”
Some of them were saying, “We have many children. We must get some grain if we are going to eat and stay alive.”
Some of them were saying, “We have many sons and daughters in our families. To eat and stay alive, we need grain.”
There were those who were saying, “Our sons and daughters, we are many. We must get grain so that we may eat and live.”
Some were saying, ‘We and our sons and daughters are numerous; in order for us to eat and stay alive, we must get grain.’
