Neither must the children of Israel from now on come near the tabernacle of the congregation, lest they bear sin, and die.

Your family, the Levites, shall not have any property, but they shall have what the Israelites bring to My tent as a tenth portion. Because the Levites alone can approach the congregation tent without dying and must do so to perform the necessary maintenance, but have no land of their own, they get to keep a tenth of the Israelites’ offerings.

They get no inheritance among the People of Israel; instead I turn over to them the tithes that the People of Israel present as an offering to God. That’s why I give the ruling: They are to receive no land-inheritance among the People of Israel.” * * *
The Israelites will never again come near the Tent of Meeting. If they do, they will become responsible for sin and die.

The other Israelites must no longer approach the Tent and in this way bring on themselves the penalty of death.

They are the only ones allowed to work at the tent, and they must not let anyone else come near it. Those who do come near must be put to death, and the Levites will also be punished. This law will never change. Since the Levites won't be given any land in Israel as their own,
