Balak sent officials again who were more numerous and higher in rank than the others.
In response, Balak sent more officers—higher ranking ones, at that!—
Balak again sent princes, more numerous and more distinguished than the first.
Then Balak again sent leaders, more numerous and more distinguished than the former.
Then Balak sent other officials, more numerous and more distinguished than the first.
Then Balak tried again. This time he sent a larger number of even more distinguished officials than those he had sent the first time.
And Balak sent yet again princes, more, and more honorable than they.
Balak sent yet again princes, more, and more honorable than they.
Then Balak sent other officers to speak to Balaam. These officers were even more important than the first group, and there were more of them.
And Balak addeth yet to send princes, more numerous and honoured than these,
Balak sent leaders again, more than were sent before, and men who were more important.
But Balak wouldn’t take “no” for an answer. He sent another, bigger contingent of even more highly esteemed men to solicit Balaam’s help.
Balak tried again. This time he sent a larger number of even more distinguished ambassadors than the former group.
So Balak sent some more leaders, even more distinguished than the others.
Then Balak again sent leaders, more numerous and more honorable than the former.
And Balak sent yet again princes, more and more honourable than those.
Balak sent officials again who were more numerous and higher in rank than the others.
Then Balak again sent princes, more of them and more honorable than the first ones.
So Balak sent other leaders—this time there were more of them, and they were more important.
Balak sent another group of nobles, higher ranking and more distinguished. They came to Balaam and said, “Balak son of Zippor says, ‘Please, don’t refuse to come to me. I will honor and reward you lavishly—anything you tell me to do, I’ll do; I’ll pay anything—only come and curse this people.’”
So Balak again sent other officials, more numerous and more prestigious than the others.
Once again Balak sent officials, more numerous and more distinguished than these.
Then Balak sent a larger number of leaders, who were more important than the first.
Again Balak sent many more, and nobler, men, than he had sent before;
Then Balak sent a larger group of officials, who were even more important than the first ones.
Once again Balak sent princes, more in number and more honorable than they.
Once again Balak sent officials, more numerous and more distinguished than these.
Once again Balak sent officials, more numerous and more distinguished than these.
Balak continued to send other officials more numerous and important than these.
Then Balak again sent leaders, more numerous and [men who were] more distinguished than the first ones.
Once again Balak sent princes, more in number and more honourable than these.
Balak yet again sent princes, who were more numerous and more distinguished than the others.
Then Balak sent representatives once again, more numerous and more distinguished than the previous.
So Balak sent other leaders—this time there were more of them, and they were more ·important [distinguished].
Balak again sent other dignitaries, more numerous and honored than these previous ones.
Once again Balak sent princes, more in number and more honorable than they.
Then Balak sent other officials. They were more important than the first ones. And there were more of them.
And Balak sent yet again princes, more, and more honourable than they.
Balak again sent princes, more of them and of higher status than the first group.
Once again Balak sent officials, more numerous and more distinguished than these.
And Balak sent yet again sarim, more, and more distinguished than they.
Balak sent a larger group of more highly respected princes.
Again Balak sent officials, more numerous and more honorable than they.
So Balak sent other leaders to Balaam. This time he sent many more than the first time. And these leaders were much more important than the first ones he sent.
So Balak sent other leaders. He sent more leaders this time. And they were more important.
Balak again sent many princes, who were more honored than the former.
Then Balak sent other officials, more numerous and more distinguished than the first.
