And you shall have on the tenth day of this seventh month an holy convocation; and you shall afflict your souls: you shall not do any work therein:

The tenth day also of this seventh month shall be holy and venerable unto you, and you shall afflict your souls: you shall do no servile work therein.

“On the tenth day of this seventh month you shall have a holy convocation and afflict yourselves. You shall do no work,

"On the tenth day of the seventh month you must have a holy assembly. You must humble yourselves. You must not do any work.

You are to hold a sacred assembly on the tenth day of this seventh month and practice self-denial; you must not do any work.

"You are to hold a sacred assembly on the tenth day of this same seventh month. You are to humble yourselves, and no servile work is to be done.

"'On the tenth day of this seventh month you are to have a holy assembly. You must humble yourselves; you must not do any work on it.

'Then on the tenth day of this seventh month you shall have a holy convocation, and you shall humble yourselves; you shall not do any work.

"'On the tenth day of this seventh month hold a sacred assembly. You must deny yourselves and do no work.

"Ten days later, on the tenth day of the same month, you must call another holy assembly. On that day, the Day of Atonement, the people must go without food and must do no ordinary work.

And ye shall have on the tenth day of this seventh month a holy convocation; and ye shall afflict your souls: in it ye shall not do any work.

"'On the tenth day of this seventh month you shall have a holy convocation; and you shall afflict your souls: you shall do no kind of work;

On the tenth day of the seventh month, you must come together for a holy meeting. During that day, you must make yourselves humble. And you must not do any work.

`And on the tenth of this seventh month a holy convocation ye have, and ye have humbled your souls; ye do no work;

‘You will have a holy gathering on the tenth day of this seventh month, and be without pride. You must not do any work.

On the tenth day of that seventh month, you shall have a ritual marking its holiness. Celebrate it soberly, don’t do any work,

“Ten days later another convocation of all the people shall be held. This will be a day of solemn humility before the Lord, and no work of any kind may be done.

“ ‘On the tenth day of the seventh month you are to have a holy assembly. You are to humble yourselves and are not to do any heavy labor.

‘Then on the tenth day of this seventh month you shall have a holy convocation, and you shall humble yourselves; you shall not do any work.

And ye shall have on the tenth of this seventh month a holy convocation; and ye shall afflict your souls; ye shall not do any work;

“On the tenth day of this seventh month, gather in holy worship, humble yourselves, and do no work.

On the tenth day of this seventh month you shall have a holy convocation. You shall humble yourselves. You are not to do any kind of work.

On the tenth day of this seventh month you shall have a holy convocation, and deny yourselves; you shall do no work.

Gather for worship on the tenth day of the seventh month; eat no food and do no work.

Also the tenth day of this seventh month shall be holy and worshipful to you, and ye shall torment your souls; ye shall not do any servile work therein. (And there shall also be a holy gathering on the tenth day of this seventh month, the Day of Atonement, and ye shall torment your souls; ye shall not do any daily work on it.)

The tenth day of the seventh month is the Great Day of Forgiveness. On that day you must rest from all work and come together for worship. Show sorrow for your sins by going without food,

“On the tenth day of this seventh month you shall have a holy convocation, and afflict yourselves; you shall do no work,

“On the tenth day of this seventh month you shall have a holy convocation and humble yourselves; you shall do no work.

On the tenth day of this seventh month you shall have a holy convocation, and deny yourselves; you shall do no work.

The tenth day of this seventh month will be a holy occasion for you. You will deny yourselves and not do any work.

‘Then on the tenth day of this seventh month you shall have a holy [summoned] assembly [for the Day of Atonement]; and you shall humble yourselves; you shall not do any work.

“On the tenth day of this seventh month you shall have a holy convocation and afflict yourselves. You shall do no work,

On the tenth day of this seventh month you will declare a holy day, humble yourselves, and do no sort of work.

“‘Have a ·holy meeting [sacred/solemn convocation] on the tenth day of the seventh month [Lev. 16; 23:26–32]. On that day do not eat and do not work.
