quoniam in similitudinem arioli et coniectoris aestimat quod ignorat comede et bibe dicet tibi et mens eius non est tecum
For as he thinks in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, said he to you; but his heart is not with you.
For as he thinks in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, says he to you; but his heart is not with you.
For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.
for as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.
For as he thinks in his heart, so is he. “Eat and drink!” he says to you, But his heart is not with you.
for as he thinketh in his heart, so is he. “Eat and drink,” saith he to thee, but his heart is not with thee.
For as he thinketh within himself, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; But his heart is not with thee.
For just as a man swallows a bristle hair, so you eat and drink with him and his mind is not with you.
For as he thinketh in his soul, so is he. Eat and drink! will he say unto thee; but his heart is not with thee.
Because like a soothsayer, and diviner, he thinketh that which he knoweth not. Eat and drink, will he say to thee: and his mind is not with thee.
For as he reckoneth within himself, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.
for he is like one who is inwardly calculating. “Eat and drink!” he says to you, but his heart is not with you.
As he calculates the cost to himself, this is what he does: He tells you, "Eat and drink," but he doesn't really mean it.
for it's like someone calculating inwardly." Eat and drink," he says to you, but his heart is not with you.
for as he thinks within himself, so he is. "Eat and drink!" he'll say to you, but his heart won't be with you.
for he is like someone calculating the cost in his mind. "Eat and drink," he says to you, but his heart is not with you;
For as he thinks within himself, so he is. He says to you, "Eat and drink!" But his heart is not with you.

He says, ‘Eat and drink as much as you want,’ but he does not really mean that. He is thinking about the cost of the food.
For as he hath thought in his soul, so [is] he, `Eat and drink,' saith he to thee, And his heart [is] not with thee.
For as he thinks in his heart, so is he. He says to you, “Eat and drink!” But his heart is not with you.
For deep down he’s keeping track of the cost. He may say, “Eat up! Drink your fill!” but he does not mean a word of it.
Don’t associate with evil men; don’t long for their favors and gifts. Their kindness is a trick; they want to use you as their pawn. The delicious food they serve will turn sour in your stomach, and you will vomit it and have to take back your words of appreciation for their “kindness.”
For, like a hair, they will stick in your throat. “Eat and drink,” he will say to you, but he does not mean it in his heart.
For as he calculates in his soul, so he is. “Eat and drink!” he says to you, But his heart is not with you.
for as he thinks in his soul, so is he; Eat and drink, he shall say unto thee, but his heart is not with thee.

Selfish people are always worrying about how much the food costs. They tell you, “Eat and drink,” but they don’t really mean it.
Don’t accept a meal from a tightwad; don’t expect anything special. He’ll be as stingy with you as he is with himself; he’ll say, “Eat! Drink!” but won’t mean a word of it. His miserly serving will turn your stomach when you realize the meal’s a sham.
because he is calculating how much things cost him. So when he says to you, “Eat and drink,” he does not mean it.
for like a hair in the throat, so are they. “Eat and drink!” they say to you; but they do not mean it.
“Come on and have some more,” he says, but he doesn't mean it. What he thinks is what he really is.
for at the likeness of a false diviner, and of a conjecturer, that is, (an) expounder of dreams, he guesseth that, that he knoweth not. He shall say to thee, Eat thou and drink; and his soul is not with thee (but his heart is not for thee/but his heart is not with thee).
People like that take note of how much you eat. They say, “Take all you want!” But they don't mean it.
for he is like one who is inwardly reckoning. “Eat and drink!” he says to you; but his heart is not with you.
