"So listen to me, children! Blessed are those who obey me.

"And so, my children, listen to me, for all who follow my ways are joyful.

So listen to me, my children. Anyone who obeys my teaching will be happy.

And now, ye sons, hearken to me, Yea, happy are they who keep my ways.

So now listen to me, my children: those who live by my ways will find true happiness.

And so, young men, listen to me, for how happy are all who follow my instructions.

Now therefore hearken unto me, O ye sons; for blessed are those that keep my ways.

“And now, sons, listen to me; those who keep my ways are happy.

Now therefore listen to me, O you sons; for blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) are those who keep my ways.

“Now, my children, listen to me, because those who follow my ways are happy.

“So, my dear friends, listen carefully; those who embrace these my ways are most blessed. Mark a life of discipline and live wisely; don’t squander your precious life. Blessed the man, blessed the woman, who listens to me, awake and ready for me each morning, alert and responsive as I start my day’s work. When you find me, you find life, real life, to say nothing of God’s good pleasure. But if you wrong me, you damage your very soul; when you reject me, you’re flirting with death.”

So now, you children, listen to me, because those who keep my ways are blessed.

“And now, my children, listen to me: happy are those who keep my ways.

“Now, young people, listen to me. Do as I say, and you will be happy.

Now, therefore, sons, hear ye me; blessed be they that keep my ways. (And so now, sons and daughters, listen ye to me; blessed be those who follow my ways.)

Pay attention, my children! Follow my advice, and you will be happy.
