This is a song that David wrote for the music leader. Only fools say to themselves, ‘There is no God.’ People like that do bad and evil things. None of them do things that are good and right.
To the Overseer. -- By David. A fool hath said in his heart, `God is not;' They have done corruptly, They have done abominable actions, There is not a doer of good.
The fool has said in his heart, “There is no God.” They are sinful and their actions are sinful. There is no one who does good.
For the worship leader. A song of David. A wicked and foolish man truly believes there is no God. They are vile, their sinfulness nauseating to their Creator; their actions are soiled and repulsive; every deed is depraved; not one of them does good.
That man is a fool who says to himself, “There is no God!” Anyone who talks like that is warped and evil and cannot really be a good person at all.
For the director. Of David. The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” People are depraved and their deeds are vile; there is no one who does what is right.
For the choir director. Of David. The wicked fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” They act corruptly, they commit abominable deeds; There is no one who does good.

Bilious and bloated, they gas, “God is gone.” Their words are poison gas, fouling the air; they poison Rivers and skies; thistles are their cash crop.

To the leader. Of David. Fools say in their hearts, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, they do abominable deeds; there is no one who does good.
Fools say to themselves, “There is no God!” They are all corrupt, and they have done terrible things; there is no one who does what is right.
To the victory, [the psalm] of David. The unwise man said in his heart, God is not. They be corrupt, and they be made abominable in their studies; none there is that doeth good, none is till to one. (To victory, the song of David. The fool said in his heart, There is no God. Such men be corrupt, and they be made abominable in their deeds; there is no one who doeth good, no not one.)
