We are brought down to the dust; our bodies cling to the ground.
We collapse in the dust, lying face down in the dirt.
For our soul is bowed down to the dust: our belly cleaveth to the earth.

We have fallen down in the dirt. Our bodies are lying on the ground.
For bowed to the dust hath our soul, Cleaved to the earth hath our belly.
For our soul is brought down to the dust. Our body holds on to the earth.
Look and You will see our souls now dwell in the dust; our bodies hug the earth.
We lie face downward in the dust.
Why do you hide your face and continue to ignore our misery and our sufferings?
For our soul has sunk down into the dust; Our body cleaves to the earth.
For our soul is bowed down to the dust; our belly cleaves unto the earth.
For we have sunk down to the dust; our bodies cling to the ground.
For our lives are bowed down to the dust; our bodies cleave to the ground.
We have been pushed down into the dirt; we are flat on the ground.
Get up, God! Are you going to sleep all day? Wake up! Don’t you care what happens to us? Why do you bury your face in the pillow? Why pretend things are just fine with us? And here we are—flat on our faces in the dirt, held down with a boot on our necks. Get up and come to our rescue. If you love us so much, Help us!

We fall crushed to the ground; we lie defeated in the dust.
For our life is made low in dust; our womb is glued together in the earth. (For our life is brought down low into the dust; our womb is glued together with the earth/and we lie flat on our backs.)
We are flat on the ground, holding on to the dust.
For our soul is bowed down to the dust; our body cleaves to the ground.
For we sink down to the dust; our bodies cling to the ground.

Look: we’re going down to the dust; our stomachs are flat on the ground!
For our life has melted away into the dust; Our body clings to the ground.
For our soul is bowed down to the dust; our belly clings to the ground.
Why do you hide your face; why forget our pain and misery?
For our souls have sunk down into the dust; Our bodies cling to the earth.
We have ·been pushed down [sunk down] into the ·dirt [dust]; ·we are flat on the ground [L our stomachs cleave to the earth].
Why do You hide Your face and forget our misery and oppression?

Why are you turning your face away, forgetting our pain and misery?
For we sink down to the dust; our bodies cling to the ground.
For our nefesh is bowed down to the aphar (dust); our beten (belly, body) has deveykus with the dirt.
Our souls are bowing in the dust. Our bodies cling to the ground.
For our soul is bowed down to the dust; our body cleaves to the earth.
