Even Sinai trembled at the sight of God on the move, at the sight of Israel’s God. You pour out rain in buckets, O God; thorn and cactus become an oasis For your people to camp in and enjoy. You set them up in business; they went from rags to riches.
You dispersed plentiful showers, O God. You strengthened your inheritance when it was weary.
Rain in abundance, O God, you showered abroad; you restored your heritage when it languished;
You caused abundant rain to fall and restored your worn-out land;
God, thou shalt (im)part willful rain to thine heritage, and it was sick; but thou madest it perfect. (God, thou imparted abundant rain upon the land of thy inheritance; it was enfeebled, or dry, but thou madest it perfect.)
When your land was thirsty, you sent showers to refresh it.
