And the people continued again to sin and to bitterly provoke The Highest with thirst.

And they added yet more sin against him: they provoked the most High to wrath in the place without water.

Yet went they on still to sin against him, to rebel against the Most High in the desert.

Yet they sinned still more against him, rebelling against the Most High in the desert.

They continued to sin against him, to rebel in the desert against the Most High.

But they continued to sin against Him, rebelling in the desert against the Most High.

But time and again, they sinned against him, rebelling against the Most High in the desert.

Yet they continued to sin against him, and rebelled against the sovereign One in the desert.

Yet they still continued to sin against Him, To rebel against the Most High in the desert.

But they continued to sin against him, rebelling in the wilderness against the Most High.

Yet they kept on sinning against him, rebelling against the Most High in the desert.

And they sinned yet more against him by provoking the Most High in the wilderness.

Yet they still went on to sin against him, to rebel against the Most High in the desert.

But his people continued to do bad things against him. In the wilderness, they turned against the Most High God.

And they add still to sin against Him, To provoke the Most High in the dry place.

But they still kept on sinning against Him. They did not obey the Most High in the desert.

Even after witnessing all of these miracles, they still chose to sin against God, to act against the will of the Most High in the desert!

Yet they kept on with their rebellion, sinning against the God who is above all gods.

But they still sinned against him, rebelling against the Most High in the wilderness.

Yet they still continued to sin against Him, To rebel against the Most High in the desert.

And they sinned yet more against him by provoking the most High in the wilderness.

But they continued to sin against him, rebelling in the desert against the Most High.

Yet they still went on to sin against Him by provoking and rebelling against the Most High in the wilderness (in the land of drought).

But the people continued to sin against him; in the desert they turned against God Most High.

All they did was sin even more, rebel in the desert against the High God. They tried to get their own way with God, clamored for favors, for special attention. They whined like spoiled children, “Why can’t God give us a decent meal in this desert? Sure, he struck the rock and the water flowed, creeks cascaded from the rock. But how about some fresh-baked bread? How about a nice cut of meat?”

But they continued to sin against him even more, by rebelling against the Most High in the desert.

Yet they sinned still more against him, rebelling against the Most High in the desert.

But they continued to sin against God, and in the desert they rebelled against the Most High.

And they putted yet to do sin against him; they excited the high God into ire, in a place without water. (And still they sinned against him; they incited the Most High God to anger, in a place without water.)

But in the desert, the people of God Most High kept sinning and rebelling.

Yet they sinned still more against him, rebelling against the Most High in the desert.
