If it is your wish, my child, you can be taught; if you apply yourself, you will become clever.
If you are willing, my child, you can be disciplined, and if you apply yourself you will become clever.
My child, you can learn if you want to. You can be clever if you are determined to be.
Son, if thou takest heed to me, thou shalt learn wisdom; and if thou givest thy will, thou shalt be wise. [Son, if thou shalt take heed to me, thou shalt learn it; and if thou leanest to, or (ad)dressest, (or directest) thine inwit, thou shalt be wise.]
If you are willing, my son, you will be taught, and if you apply yourself you will become clever.
If you are willing, my child, you can be disciplined, and if you apply yourself you will become clever.
If you are willing, my child, you can be disciplined, and if you apply yourself you will become clever.
If you want, my child, you will be instructed, and if you devote your whole being, you will be intelligent.
If you wish, my son, you can be wise; if you apply yourself, you can be shrewd.
If you are willing, my son, you will be taught, and if you apply yourself you will become clever.
If you are willing, my child, you can be disciplined, and if you apply yourself you will become clever.
